- FOXGLUV PRESENTS: BIANCA OBLIVION with support from HANNAH HESSION B2B LOLZ Foxgluv is back on the 8th of June to welcome none other than Bianca Oblivion for her Irish debut in Wigwam. Also joining us for the first time will be 2 of Ireland's finest selectas Lolz and Hannah Hession. BIANCA OBLIVION No stranger to dance music, Bianca was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where she grew up hearing the sounds of the city blasting out of car stereos, at backyard BBQs and parties. Her training as a dancer strengthened her love of rhythms, while her years spent hosting college radio and throwing DIY events gave her sound a uniquely underground edge. As a young adult, Bianca frequented the west coast club scene at the height of electro and blog house, where she first started DJing. You can hear these influences in her sets and production, which blend sounds across the house, club, and bass spectrum. Bianca Oblivion is a connector of the global club underground, drawing lines between U.S. & U.K. bass music, baile funk, reggaeton, grime, vogue and beyond. She has long been involved in multiple facets of the L.A. underground, continuously working to create spaces for femme/non-binary, queer, and POC artists in the Los Angeles nightlife scene as part of crews like Culosangeles, Club Aerobics and now Warp Mode. Since 2017, her Club Aerobics radio show on NTS has been a staple in the underground scene, showcasing some of the most forward thinking dance music producers and DJs worldwide. In the last few years, Bianca's tracks "Bumbum Pra Ca," “Bubble Pon Di Bed,” “Drip” and her hard UK funky/vogue remix for DJ co.kr and Riko Dan have been played all around the world, while her guest mixes for Boiler Room, Toddla T, Diplo & Friends, and Rinse FM have showcased Bianca’s talents behind the decks. Most recently she dropped a music video for the "Bubble Pon Di Bed (Remix)," featuring club queen UNIIQU3, bad gyal British-Jamaican MC Thai Chi Rosè, and reggaeton reina Charly Gynn, shot on location in London, Mexico City, and Bianca’s hometown of Los Angeles. Whether in DJing, radio or production – Bianca continues to rep her culture and community. HANNAH HESSION Hannah Hession is a Galway born and based DJ who has been playing garage, bass and breaks in venues across Ireland since 2019 She has played alongside scene luminaries from Galway and beyond, such as X Club, Main Phase, Pangaea, Two Shell, Efa O’Neill, Cailín and Shampain. She currently co-runs Ar Ais Arís, a Galway based electronic music night with a focus on small, safe, inclusive spaces and big soundsystems! LOLZ Not one to be pinned down to a specific style or sound, her sets have spanned nightclub dancefloors, international radio stations and major outdoor events. From bright lights at Longitude, All Together Now or Electric Picnic’s infamous ‘rave in the woods’, to taste making independent festivals like Open Ear, Drop Everything and the Community Skratch Games and have seen her support the likes of Lena Willikens, Scratchclart, Helena Hauff, OR:LA and DEBONAIR. As well as guest appearances in cities like Berlin and Prague, Lolz holds regular DJ residencies at home in Galway's Bierhaus and Róisín Dubh. Behind the scenes, Lolz has provided opportunity for others as a longtime events promoter, booker and mentor: Co-founder of GASH Collective, a platform that encourages women to create, share and collaborate together in the field of electronic music in Ireland. Through safe space initiatives, carefully curated parties and events, as well as production and DJ workshops, GASH intends to shine a light on female identifying producers and DJs in Ireland. The brains behind Bounce, a dynamic and inclusive club night by DJs and performers with intellectual disabilities. Bounce creates a fun, safe and accessible space for people of all abilities to socialise and dance the night away. The first event of its kind in Ireland, Bounce has spread its wings beyond its regular Galway home since 2017 to take part in the Carlow Arts and Dublin Dance Festivals. Latest projects include, Blush, a multi-genre Galway based club night focused on the next generation of women, lgbtq+ and non-binary Irish artists.
