- Haseeb Iqbal brings another all-night-long Studio Crumb party, as he braces the decks for the full five hours, spinning strictly vinyl in the vibrant Bunker basement. This dance continues the monthly residency after a number of memorably energetic parties where Haseeb and Bror Havnes have sculpted a unique sonic experience for themselves and the dancers. Haseeb will be using the next dance as a canvas on which he will paint a colour of sound all night. From 12-minute jazz-funk ripplers, to some of the most important West African records that bridge traditional instrumentation alongside electronic elements; Pakistani synth-heavy stompers, to percussive Brazilian bouncers and beyond; the music played at these parties stitches the connection between post-punk, dub, drum and bass, garage, hip-hop and more - it is a space where there is no limit on sound, source or genre; instead, there is a focus on feeling and spirit. The Studio Crumb parties have garnered an engaged following in the last year from Londoners who have been struck by the unpredictability of the music played.
