- Buckle up, DJ Stingray 313 is back. The Detroit legend is one of techno’s definitive artists and has become a singular inspiration to a new generation. His CV is too impressive, including early collaborations with Moodymann, Carl Craig and Drexciya, and a list of exemplary releases a mile long. Stingray’s afrofuturist electro is rugged, daring and uncompromising, of course. His work stands with the most essential entries in the Detroit canon for its fusion of techno’s most imaginative iterations, the funk and sampledelica of hip hop and a truly avant garde sensibility that cannot be contained. On top of that, he’s a truly virtuosic DJ whose ninja-grade chops blind side even the most seasoned audiences. Juliana Huxtable comes in just as heavy from a completely different angle. A visionary polymath, her expansive, even confrontational sets use techno as a chassis for unruly collage and raw, unmediated explorations of self, identity, technology and more. Miami’s Alex.Cosmos returns. The elusive artist taps into techno’s slinky, taut and feverish strains. Berlin’s Cinthie returns to headline STUDIO. The driving force behind We_R House and Unison Wax and a member of the Beste Modus collective, Cinthie draws on the unapologetic expressiveness of classic Chicago and NY house. Her more recent venture with the 803 Crystal Grooves label shows Cinthie giving it everything she’s got - these are glorious, sunshower anthems from a legend decades into a stellar career. Spotlight founder Chris Cruse is back from LA. A paragon of American queer dance and a DJ of superlative impact, Cruse infuses any space he’s in with libidinous sauciness. A regular at landmark hubs P-Bar, Club Toilet, Cocktail D’Amore and more, Cruse is part of a rich lineage of radical joy. Add to that list Jacob Meehan, who completes the lineup.
