Chimimora is an event promoter based in South London and this is our first event at MOT. We want to invite everyone to express themselves and create an atmosphere that feels like home and family.
ARTISTS:
kaRRANgoO is a black British sound artist from Plumstead, who fluidly moves between worlds of sounds and cultures to tell sonic narratives. kaRRANgoO is also part of LoveDad, an art group of experimental sound artists that collaborate together. KaRRANgoO’s sound performances have become a gathering of acoustic and electronic instruments that brings his story world into the spaces he performs in.
Tin Wing is a sound and experimental music artist that utilises live performance, vocals, sampling and field recordings in their work. Tin Wing ’s name comes from their family’s Cantonese heritage and is used as an artistic persona that gives space to their British born Chinese experience. Layered with textures with an idiosyncratic approach/nature Tin Wing creates trance like experiences that reference the relationship with music, language and cultural sounds.
Chimimora+ is a sound project that started in a living room. It is a mix of ambient sounds and visuals that might make you laugh, cry or just feel nothing. Sometimes it brings about déjà-vu and old memories.
Chinapink and 28 playfully poke fun at the absurdities of life, creating music and art by living and experimenting. Their collaborative efforts manifest as performances that embody their essence of not taking shit seriously.
