NRG-Disco, Synth, New Beat, Classic Disco, Funk, NY & US House IsBurning Amsterdam IsBurning celebrates its 10 year anniversary this year as Amsterdam’s first space for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies to come together and dance, sharing a deeply rooted love for the underground house & techno scene. Det Gode Selskab Det Gode Selskab – “the good company” for anglophiles– with an ambiguous meaning of the word “company”. With over a decade of experience and love behind them the Det Gode Selskab project is living a colorful life as ever, cruising on their upward trajectory and everyone else is invited. Playful, yet serious, with hours of fun to be had with the ever developing Oslo based brand meandering between their events and record label. Carlos Valdes (IsBurning) Carlos Valdes has been a key figure of Amsterdam’s nightlife for well over two decades. His vital contribution to the city’s electronic music scene and LGBTQ+ community as a DJ, promoter, label owner, and all-round inspirator is indisputable. Always on the lookout for new gems to add to his vast house and techno collection, new venues to explore with his illustrious IsBurning nights, and new talent to support, Carlos is consistently pushing the envelope of club culture. His mesmerising sets and endless likeability have made him an in-demand DJ in all corners of the globe. Vuur (IsBurning) With Vuur his monthly radioshow: ‘’I’ll Be Your Friend’’ at Radio TNP, he not only brings an ode to the artists and friends that inspire him, but also to the classic house track from Robert Owens. A title that gently introduces the feeling Vuur evokes while witnessing him play. Whether it’s together with a guest for his radio residency or while playing a club or festival: his energy and sound will feel inviting and loving. Because of hosting different guests and exploring -different sounds while playing/a wide range of sounds-, Vuurs' sound is playful, warm, deep, tough and full of groove. His development didn’t stay unnoticed as he became resident of the IsBurning family in 2022. Vuur is a DJ for the dancers, wanting to create unity on the dancefloor and letting you feel you’ve made a new friend. Tod Louie (Det Gode Selskab, Dorm!tory, Evrysome) Tod Louie is a DJ, club promoter, label boss and a recording artist. He’s been a fixture on the Oslo DJ circuit as a resolute lynchpin for Det Gode Selskab collective and Oslo’s queer club scene. In Oslo, he founded the Det Gode Selskab with Chris Solaris, a significant cultural highlight on Oslo’s clubbing circuit which today comprises a DJ collective, a monthly residency and several annual events around Oslo. Fueling the fire on the dance floor, his eclectic and groovy sets travel from jacking house, 667 basslines to stark soundscapes in his pursuit in finding those rare emphatic symbioses with his audience and the dance floor. Henriku (Det Gode Selskab / Quirk) While Henriku's focal point is music production and DJing, he dabbles in art forms of all sorts fueled by queer, cute and crusty things. Generally, you'll find Henriku glorifying the 90s or eating bananas in clubs. Henriku moved from Oslo to Berlin in 2016, where he studied audio and music production. He now lives in the capital of Germany, where he produces, plays, collects and sells records. While Henriku's focal point is music production and DJing, he dabbles in art forms of all sorts fueled by queer, cute and crusty things. Generally, you'll find Henriku glorifying the 90s dance culture or eating bananas in clubs. Mary Lake (Spielraum / IsBurning) A sonic adventurer. With an international upbringing in Algeria, France and The Netherlands, she seeks a voice through her music, translating inner dynamics in both club and exploratory settings. As a DJ, Mary Lake serves up unorthodox techno that defies convention. Her sets are an irresistible invitation to dance that echoes in both the underground haunts of De School and the revered techno temples of Bassiani, Tresor and Berghain. A familiar face in the Amsterdam scene, she holds residency at Spielraum. Her live sets, such as at Dekmantel Festival and Positive Education are hypnotic yet brimming with an infectious energy that keeps the audience on the edge of their senses.on the edge of their senses. Ronya (Det Gode Selskab) Ronya is a talented DJ, selector and musician from Oslo, Norway. With a passion for music from a young age, Ronya started playing drums at the age of 6. This early musical experience has shaped Ronya's unique style as a DJ, with a deep understanding of rhythm and an ability to create magical moments on the dance floor. Ronya’s passion and talent for music have led to unforgettable experiences and a growing fan base. She likes to explore different sub genres of house and techno, and express herself with a deep, groovy drive. Ronya is to be heard as a resident DJ for «Det Gode Selskab Records». Øyvind Morken (Full Pupp / Jæger) “When I was 15 I was fired from my local youth club for not following the rules when DJing, Not much has changed since then” – Øyvind Morken Oslo`s Øyvind Morken has a unique ability to play everything from A to Z of what genres concern. Working the dance floor in the most unexpected ways. He has held down a residency at Jaeger since 2011. Drawing in a crowd of open-minded party goers for nights of wild abandon, and where musical diversity and self-expression is encouraged. Gigs also appeared all over Europe and in Asia. And there are productions taking up catalog space on such diverse labels as Moonlighting, Full Pupp, Mysticisms, Snick Snack and Gravity Graffiti. Welcome to a night of 70s and 80s dance music rooted in queer culture. Blending disco, funk and house music. Sveini (Dorm!tory) One of Oslo’s secret gems. A true selector with a massive collection of vinyls. Enjoy the naughty side of the 80s, mixed with up beat NRG-disco and italo. He is known for stirring things up with synth wave, synth pop and new beat from late 80s and early 90s. Sveini brings the records you might never have heard before, but end up adding to your all time favorites. From obscure 80s San Francisco porn music, to synth driven disco basslines, uplifting diva vocals and hard hitting beats.
