DJ Amazon returns with her wonderful Spread Love Vinyl sessions where the emphasis is on lovely vibes, great guests to start the weekend. Introducing DJ Dolly Dagger and her husband Basil pepper pot a seasoned vinyl collectors and enthusiasts. Dolly Daggers passion for music ignited in 2016 at a local event called Closet Vinyl. With a debut set featuring iconic tracks from the 70s and 80s like Stevie Wonder's "Jammin'" and Grandmaster Flash's "The Message," Dolly Dagger quickly captivated audiences and found her calling. Since then, she's graced numerous local events and venues, from the Women of Walthamstow Festival to Riot Girlz in Hackney. Her signature monthly night at Eckovision, LOVE (Ladies On Vinyl Evening), became a platform for showcasing remarkable local female talent until its closure in 2019. Specializing in 80s funk, soul, hip-hop, and reggae, DJ Dolly Dagger continues to mesmerize audiences with her eclectic sets, promising an unforgettable experience every time. Keep an ear out for her upcoming track selection at the next RtFB: Stevie Wonder's "Golden Lady." Basil Pepperpot, a vinyl enthusiast since 2017, brings a rich tapestry of musical influences to his DJ sets. Hailing from London's early Hip Hop scene, Basil's upbringing immersed him in a diverse array of genres, from reggae to jazz. Inspired by legendary parties like Mastermind and Rapattack Soul Sound System, as well as the iconic Notting Hill carnival of the early 1980s, Basil's musical journey is a testament to the power of timeless tunes that evoke pure joy. His ever-expanding record collection reflects his passion for jazz funk, soul, funk, and disco, ensuring that every set he spins is a journey through musical nostalgia and feel-good vibes. Every weekend the Friday late night sessions will be free entry for our summer season at the original disco pub the Horse and Groom with a great selection of residents, party crews and guest DJs bringing back the original party vibes music wise with selections disco, funk, soul, house, 90s grooves and beyond with the emphasis on great selections without the full-on rave!
