Egal, ob Deep House, Afro House, Acid House oder Tech House – hier dreht sich alles um den Groove, der euch zum Tanzen bringt und die Nacht unvergesslich macht. Wojtek bucht für euch die heißesten DJs, die wissen, wie man die Menge zum Kochen bringt. Chasing Kurt (Antiego · Momem)
Chasing Kurt ist das elektronische Musikprojekt, das seit 2009 die Grenzen des Deep House erkundet. Ursprünglich als Trio gestartet, hat sich der Gründer und Hauptproduzent nach zwölf Jahren zu einem Solo-Künstler entwickelt. Mit mitreißenden und energiegeladenen DJ-Sets schafft Chasing Kurt nicht nur Musik, sondern ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für das Publikum. Ein Clubbesitzer beschrieb ihn einmal nicht als DJ, sondern als ein wahres Erlebnis auf der Tanzfläche. Zusätzlich zu seinen Live-Auftritten hat Chasing Kurt bereits zwei Alben und zahlreiche EPs produziert, von denen einige Tracks auf renommierten Labels wie Defected, Innervisions und dem Label von Tale Of Us veröffentlicht wurden.

C-Rock – das ist Track & Feel, der XS Club, das Monza, der CocoonClub, Cocoon Recordings & Cocoon Ibiza, Motorcitysoul, Dubstar, StarDub, Frankfurt ist Bunt, die Pracht 1.0, das Find Your Animal Festival, die Labels LoFi Stereo, Stir15, Freerange, Simple UK und Kompakt, Radio You FM & FM4 und so viel mehr ... Die Liste der Projekte, Clubs und Stationen ist schier unendlich und dies gilt auch für die Tiefe seiner DJ-Sets. Der House- und Techno Daddy aus Frankfurt, der inzwischen in Hanau seinen Lebensmittelpunkt hat, ist aus der Deutschen DeepoHouse-Bewegung nicht mehr wegzudenken. Wenn das gute C am Start ist, treffen klassische House-Vibes auf Techno-Soul, tiefen Bass und fette Beats. HOUSE MUSIC… STATE OF MIND!
Phonk D (Galerie Kurzweil · Footjob)
Phonk D’s background in music is synonymous with the development of dance music in the 1990s.
Born and raised in the greater area of Germany’s Frankfurt am Main, his career as a Dj and producer is an outcome of the cities varied and lively club scene at the time. Raised on an (un-)healthy diet of weekly trips to the now legendary dance floors of nightlife icons like Dorian Gray or Sven Väth’s Omen, Phonk’s pocket money soon started to fully disappear in record shops, while he started to pour these resources and experiences into a first DJ gig in 1997. Followed by the usual training periods of the time (do your own parties, work in record shops, collect more records), and his enthusiasm for breathtaking DJ tricks and skills, his scope extended to hip hop and its roots in funk, soul and disco.
Fast forward into the 2000s and Phonk D found himself as part of the fast-paced German rap scene with the production duo Kollege Schnürschuh. Taking care of MCs like Madness or Doell and playing as their backing DJ, he spent the better part of the new century’s first decade working in hip hop.
However, old love never dies and Phonk found his way back to his beginnings and the four-on-the-floor rhythm. In 2014, he founded his label Footjob as an outlet for true school house. Ranging from disco influences and sampling techniques to classic deep house, it has all bases covered. With about 27 releases by a recurring string of artists and focussed on the tastes and productions of the label owner himself, it’s among the most reliable sources for that vintage and dry-aged dance sound.
That didn’t go unnoticed by labels like Glitterbox, Exploited, Future Disco or Shall Not Fade or even Salsoul records that all featured the production talents of Phonk D. Honorary mention goes to his Disco Goodies EP in 2018, which established him as a force to be reckoned with.
The same holds true for his DJ entity. Representing all these values and experience, it’s impossible to not be enamored by his presence in the DJ booth. With impeccable selections from his core business, carefully curated curveballs and surprises, Phonk D embodies the spirit of old school deejaying propelled into the here and now.
