- Join us on Thursday, May 9th for our monthly party at General Lee's. Up on the decks we have Avi Loud and DJ Jiharri! Expect house, techno, and friends moving on the dance floor. This event is FREE but we do accept donations to help support our events. This month we are proudly donating 50% of our donations to dublab, a public online radio station that has been around for 25 years (*who are fundraising this May*). We have a monthly show and want to support this amazing organization in the community that supports local DJs, music lovers, and more! About the DJs: Avi Loud: Avi Loud is a multi-disciplinary artist (photographer, dj, producer) born and raised in Seattle. He fell in love with dance music at an early age when his first extra-curricular mentors, the Massive Monkees b-boy crew, immersed him into the world of hip-hop. With contributions to the Seattle nightlife such as Prototype Sessions in 2016, Joogie Nights in 2017, Heck World Radio in 2019, and joining the HousePartySea collective in 2020, Avi has been adamant about spotlighting underground music and connecting styles with a sonic throughline that keeps the relationship between sound and movement at the forefront. Since moving to LA during the pandemic, he has self-released an EP Flower Chased The Sunshine and a full-length album Realmfest. More recently, he released an EP 'Chrysalis' with Salon Recordings in November 2022, had a track featured on Juke Bounce Werk's 'JBDUBZ Vol. X' compilation in December 2022, and was also included in Gyration Station's 'Reality Check 3' compilation to kick off the 2023 year. In April 2023, he was invited to join the Body Heat crew alongside Demon Slayer and Liano. Since joining forces with Liano and Oak City Slums to form the dj/producer supergroup Dance Maniacs in late 2022, the trio has made waves in LA and beyond with multiple residencies, radio appearances, a Boiler Room debut set, a string of individual music releases, a self-produced national tour, and their debut album 'Built Like That' which released with Juke Bounce Werk in December 2023. DJ Jihaari: DJ Jihaari is a sound connoisseur. He blends all genres seamlessly without hesitation and has a lot of fun having you guess where he’s going next. He has opened for Kaytranada and has a mix series called Black Peace Strategies for the Future of Humankind. Check it out on Mixcloud.
