  • Washington Hill Pictures, Marble Bar, and WDET are joining forces to host the first-ever nightclub screening of Detroit Techno documentary God Said Give 'Em Drum Machines: The Director’s Cut to kick off Detroit’s Techno Week festivities. Doors open at 6:30pm for a cocktail hour with Donna Gardner spinning. The film screening is from 7:30-9pm, followed by the first b2b performance between two Detroit dance music legends, Eddie Fowlkes and Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale. All proceeds from the event will be donated to 101.9 WDET’s vital public programming. In God Said Give ‘Em Drum Machines, Director Kristian R. Hill and Executive Producer Jennifer Washington shine a light on the true Black origin story of Techno music in Detroit, and we are very excited to share this inspiring, immersive experience with Detroit techno fans from near and far. **This event is ALL AGES, and capacity is LIMITED**
