- An eponym for the song "Chandini Raatien" (transl. Moonlit Nights) by the legendary Pakistani singer Noor Jehan - we are back with another night dedicated to the coalescence of electronic rhythms and live performances. With DJs Slow Burn, Booolean, Theysiii, and Enchantika on decks, and Shaunt Raffi on the Saxophone - we will take you on a journey around the world, curating a transnational musical experience featuring global electronic grooves, open drum tracks, and percussive house rhythms. Doors at 10:00 PM _______________________ About the Artists: Slow Burn is a Toronto-based archivist and DJ. They have a soft spot for punchy, percussive rhythms and dance music from the Global South. Booo Lean plays multi-genre bangers from the global south for the baddies, gays and theys Theysiii is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tkaronto. Inspired by the revolutionary power of queer joy in their hometown of Lahore, and their life in Tkaronto, their art is borderless, amalgamating South Asian sounds with various genres to curate unique musical experiences for their community. Enchantika, born and raised in the vibrant streets of India and now based in Toronto, is a producer and DJ carving her path in the global music scene. Specializing in a fusion of Desi Amapiano, Afrobeats, Baile Funk + and unique blends. Enchantika’s sound is a kaleidoscope of cultural influences that transcend borders and captivate audiences worldwide. Shaunt Raffi is an Armenian music curator, DJ, musician and producer based in Toronto. Shaunt is the founder of some of Torontos iconic community hubs for artists including Antikka and the Oud & the Fuzz. He has now turned his attention to his newest venture, Tapestry, which functions as a music venue in the heart of Torontos Kensington Market. Shaunt has dedicated himself to simultaneously developing his own artistry while always providing space for others to shine and grow.
