Ataraxy is a queer Brussels-based dj. Although he's better known for his groovy/trancy tracks, Ataraxy's collection ranges from trippy/hypnotic sounds to hard techno, acid, ghetto, eurodance and hard dance. He puts all his emotions into his mixes and releases them as soon as he gets behind the decks. Music has become a way to release himself from his hypersensitivity. Ataraxy means « peace of mind ; a state of freedom from emotional disturbance and anxiety ; unconditional tranquility ». This name has great significance for him, since it’s this feeling that he’s trying to feel AND convey to the crowd.
