Like a garden of forking paths, 12 x 12 welcomes pH and baitong~xystems to explore long-form and genre-bending soundscapes, in a cozy setting tucked in an alley deadend.
From sound design, music scoring to interactive installations, baitong~xystems' practice centers audio to examine tropes in folklore, built environments from a southeast asian prism. Previous projects of hers have been featureds in North America, Europe and Asia. Under other aliases, she has recorded mixes featured on NTS, Crack Magazine, Boiler Room, The Lot radio and Montez Press radio.
pH first became active in Brooklyn's DIY music scene through DJing, live electronics, and post-punk bands. He organized the Alone Together series, as well as many experimental club nights spread across New York City. In 2019 he released his first work titled HYPH001, though the hyph stems collective.
