We’re super excited to bring another edition of [Dans Punk] back to Bangalore. For this edition, we’re hosting an incredible producer and DJ - Toumba. Joining him will be Focus Group Radio’s Nich and Bangalore’s rising talent Sura.
Hailing from Amman, Jordan Toumba has carved out a unique space for himself with releases on labels like Nervous Horizon and Hessle Audio that are known to push the boundaries with their forward thinking approach to club music. Blending in wobbly dubs, with polyrhythmic percussions and experimenting with rhythms and textures that are innate to his roots have helped create music that is uniquely his.
We’re building [Dans Punk] to be a space where DJ’s have the freedom to experiment with a wide range of sounds and tempos and present them tastefully with a spirit of Punk, essentially anything goes. Sonically, this gig will twist the room inside out as Toumba, Nich and Sura will take you through sounds of Dub, Kuduro, Guaracha, Dembow and weird bass music.
Like last time, we continue to host this as no cameras gig and let the entire focus be on the music.
