- Primary emerged in October 2023 as a natural evolution and a crucial reset for Picnic, previously one of Sydney’s premier touring and events companies. After fifteen years at the forefront of Sydney’s left-field electronic music and events scene, it became imperative to pause and redirect focus toward a new chapter. A new Primary focus. Picnic’s journey began with Carly Roberts, aka Kali, a trailblazer driven by a passion for exceptional music, a sixth sense for what’s hot and a love of well produced parties. From clandestine gatherings to orchestrating events in some of Sydney’s most prestigious venues, Picnic’s prolific work fundamentally transformed how Sydney embraced underground electronic music.
