The second chapter of “Come, let me show you around” at kwia is happening on Wednesday, 22nd May. This time, our guests reflect diverse dualities, bringing together their deep-rooted heritage and the musical influences they’ve embraced along their journeys.

Nico Adomako is a Berlin and Accra-based trans-disciplinary artist. As co-founder of Oroko Radio and the Berlin DJ collective Einhundert, Nico has shaped the music and art scenes in Berlin and Accra. He produces events globally, from London to Tokyo. For this event, Nico shares music from Accra, Kingston, and London, reflecting his globally-minded perspective and commitment to his community.
Lawrence Lee, from New York with Korean and Brazilian roots, is based in Berlin where he founded the A7A imprint and LUSH club night. Known for releases on UMAY, Radiant Records, E-Missions, International Chrome, and Mala Junta, Lawrence will explore the meaning of home by sharing music that reflects his Korean and Brazilian heritage.
Ninafterdark is a DJ and co-founder of the collective Slipmode. Known for her genre-jumping sets that blend nostalgic edits and global club sounds, she approaches music with a non-committal attitude towards the dancefloor. At our event, Ninafterdark will share music from her Somali roots and the influences she found in London.
Luwei, the show's creator, will be conducting the event. Luwei will share sounds from Milan, her second home, from a personal perspective.
"Come, Let Me Show You Around" is a radio show dedicated to uncovering and celebrating geographically underrepresented musical landscapes from around the globe. The show is built around the concept of showcasing music that holds special significance to our guests—from the melodies of their hometowns to the sounds that have inspired them wherever they've roamed. As we explore these special musical selections, we open the floor to stories about cultural backgrounds, personal journeys, and how heritage shapes the music we love.
