  • 33EMYBW is one of the most innovative artists in the Chinese underground, referring to her musical style as "limb dance" and collaborating with the likes of Batu and Marina Herlop. She brings her mind-boggling live set to Swiss label Danse Noire's Fitzroy night.

  • Danse Noire's semi-regular Berlin nights return for the first time since 2023 and move to Fitzroy with another idiosyncratic line-up. Limited 15€ early bird tickets available via RA - we recommend it as to guarantee entry, avoid queueing. 33EMYBW (live) Shanghai native producer and visual artist 33EMYBW has been an active member in the Chinese music scene for over a decade. Drawing inspirations from modern dance music, folk music and wide range of visual materials, she gradually refined a variety of mixed conceptual elements into a form that combines very personal rhythm and stunning experimental sound designs. Her 2018 album 'Golem', released on SVBKVLT, was met with critical acclaim and was voted one of the best electronic albums of 2018 by Bandcamp, as well as gaining support and praise from the likes of Kode9, Desto, Akito, 8ulentina and many more. Following recent live sets at Nyege Nyege Festival, Uganda, and at the Aphex Twin curated opening of the 2019 Warehouse Project, Manchester, 33EMYBW's third album, entitled 'arthropods' was released via SVBKVLT mid October. This album continues the topics of post-human and evolution that she explored before, and experiment with rhythms in a longer time scale. She premiered the release and her new live show at Unsound Festival, Krakow, followed by shows in London, Milan and Zurich in 2019. Important performance/venue that she played includes Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), SXSW(Austin), CTM(Berlin), Soft Centre(Sydney) and Recombinant(San Francisco). On the other hand, 33EMYBW is also a core member of Shanghai’s most well known experimental rock/electronic band ‘Duck Fight Goose(YADAE)’. In 2019, she started using materials from Dong Choir (traditional music from Gui Zhou province of China) to create unique music and sounds, which lead to the release of “DONG2” under Merrie Records from Beijing. Assyouti Born and raised in Egypt's crowded and disordered capital Cairo, Assyouti is among his generation's most distinct DJs and producers. Juggling hypermodern bass mutations, warped dancefloor snaps and percussive club experiments, he draws energy from the chaotic stimulus he grew up engulfed by, routing it into refined productions and elegant selections. Since 2021 he's been based in Berlin and has quickly gained local traction, appearing at venues like the legendary club Tresor, RSO, OHM, and Trauma Bar. He has also performed at renowned music festivals like Berlin’s CTM and Uganda’s Nyege Nyege. His debut EP "Shakhrama" was released in 2022 on High Digital, and highlights his wide-eyed and borderless musical interests, followed by an even stronger second EP on Shepard Tone in which he explores his own take on Jungle and Breakbeat mayhem. Noisy and at times aggressive, his productions melt visceral but challenging rhythms with distorted vocal and drum samples, processed beyond recognition into buzzsaw post-punk sonics. As a DJ, he balances his love of the hardcore continuum with sounds from the world's furthest recesses, and is equally comfortable playing to energized dancers at peak time as he is taking the crowds on a mind-challenging adventure. Over the years he's racked up multiple appearances on radio stations like NTS, Rinse France, Reprezent, Movement Radio, Radio Alhara, Radio Flouka, Refuge Wordlwide, Noods Radio & Echobox Radio. He was also a resident on Ma3azef Radio from July 2020-July 2022, where - through his "Waverider" moniker - he dived deep every month into some of his other "non-club" influences like Punk, Post-Punk, Gothic Rock, Noise Rock, Krautrock, EBM, Industrial, Cold Wave, Minimal Wave, and other obscurities from the 1D70s onwards. Assyouti also runs the No_Stone events with Barcelona-based selector and dj Jehia. Cassius Select With heavy grime influences and distinctly broken beats, you might be forgiven for mistaking Cassius Select as hailing from the UK. In fact, this Toronto native has called Sydney his home for the past 8 years and now lives in Berlin. The Cassius Select project was never intended to fit any mould of genre but instead focuses on rhythm, groove and feel. By his own admission, Cassius Select (real name Lavurn Lee) has never paid too much attention to BPM or associating sounds with genres, which might be one of the reasons why his music sounds so fresh. His signature combination of sparse drums and grimey vocal samples, creates an incredible sense of swing and attitude; the kind of music that makes you want to screw-face while winding on the d-floor. And his talent is recognised far and wide, with releases on major labels like Hypercolour and Mathew Herbert’s Accidental Jr. He’s also involved in other projects including BV (FKA Black Vanilla) – a band comprising Jarred Beeler (DJ Plead) and Marcus Whale as well as Fake – an alias through which he experiments with traditional songs and structures and channels his appreciation for trap music; as with all of his others oeuvres however, this haunting flavour of rap, is almost impossible to define. He just released his first album under his given name Lavurn, exploring vocal-driven r&b Dis Fig Felicia Chen has long resisted simple categorization. She cut her teeth operating in New York City's scrappy DIY and experimental club scenes, channeling a passion for pop music, metal, rap, and global dance forms into unpredictable multi-layered DJ sets that harmonized with the US East Coast's relentless noise. And when she released her debut album PURGE on the PTP imprint in 2019 it substantiated her artistic voice, refining her vast pool of influences into a cathartic distillate that oozes between vulnerable beauty and retching chaos."This ain’t just your run-of-the-mill wall of power electronics and angry screams," wrote The Quietus. As a DJ she's become notorious for her curiosity and restless energy, but as a live performer she edges away from the club completely, using her acrobatic voice and entire body to transmit emotional complexity that's deeper than language. In 2020, Chen teamed up with veteran British producer Kevin Martin, aka The Bug, to imagine what Resident Advisor described as "ambient dancehall and sensual trip-hop" on their debut collaborative full- length In Blue. This time she assumed the role of front-woman, building on her early training as a jazz singer to augment Martin's fractured, dubwise productions with intimate cabaret echoes and blood-curdling screams. Concurrently Chen has been working alongside radical Chinese multi-disciplinary artist Tianzhuo Chen, scoring his performance "An Atypical Brain Damage" in 2017 and joining his ambitious TRANCE BAND shortly afterwards. She was part of a series of operatic live performances where Chen and his cohorts would terraform locations to create psychedelic durational experiences that were tactile, visceral and unmoored to one musical form or another; they created a space where interpretive dance, carnival and ritual elements could cross-pollinate with stadium rock, dungeon techno and narcotic jazz. This year, Chinese label SVBKVLT will release Entrancing, a recording of the band's 2022 Hamburg performance that highlights Chen's high-intensity contributions, alongside Gabber Modus Operandi, MC KIM KHAN, CITY, and others.
