- Big Trouble Records and Open Canvas present: Big Canvas. A unique collaboration focusing on both art and music synonymously. Open Canvas is a music and arts festival dedicated to showcasing a range of local musical talent, cultural expressions, and multidisciplinary art forms. Big Trouble Records is dedicated to reviving the vibrant culture of underground house music. Drawing inspiration from the electrifying essence of 90's rave culture, Big Trouble embodies a fusion of artistic expression, immersive events, dynamic collaborations, and groundbreaking music. Serving as both a record label and event brand, Big Trouble is on a mission to reignite the grassroots spirit of the 90's, infusing it into every facet of its creative endeavours. DJ Bio's Andre Zimmer: Big Trouble Records founder Andre Zimmer has had his success through his hip-house anthems supported by top performing global DJ's all over the world. Andre brings 90's house elements into a unique and fresh twist, genre spanning from House to Techno to UKG to Acid. Andre has worked with DJ's such as Fast Eddie, completing an official remix which is currently charting on Beatport and receiving global radio play. Andre has recently signed an EP with Shall Not Fade, showcasing his underground UK Garage sounds, set to release on vinyl and digital in late 2024. AKWA: Genre-blending, high energy, deep cuts and creative selection are the best ways to describe AKWA and his craft. Since starting his journey behind the decks 7 years ago in Ottawa, Ontario the 22-year-old Toronto-based artist has been building up a unique arsenal of rhythmic cuts from disco tech, house, techno and hard dance to ghetto tech and breaks that are certain to make you sweat. DJ Cinéma Quartier Latin: From Montreal, Canada, DJ Cinéma Quartier Latin has made a big wave in the house music scene over the past few years. With collaborations with artists such as DJ Poolboi, CRi, and many others, DJ Cinéma Quartier Latin fuses together sounds of breakbeat, deep house, lofi-house, 90's house, and many more. Playing events in Berlin, Montreal, and many other cities has given this young artists fine taste and a unique showcase of track selections. House of Lords: House of Lords are DJ/ Producer’s from Toronto who started out throwing their own events with artists such as Black Loops, Demuja, and Glenn Astro. Recently they have opened up for artists such as salute, Dam Swindle, AceMo, COEO, and Cody Currie and are excited to kick off summer with the Big Cavas event on June 9th. Join us June 9 from 4pm-11pm for a day/night filled with dancing. The event will be located at the Drake Hotel, one of Toronto's most historic buildings. Big Canvas will take place on the "Sky Yard" of the Drake Hotel, a unique open air experience. Note: RESPECT IS MANDATORY. ALL ARE WELCOME. A NEIGHBOUR ON THE DANCE FLOOR IS A LIFELONG FRIEND.
