- To celebrate a year of Great music and Great parties, we have put together a line up that reflects the direction of Mode:Play for 2011. First up, let us introduce you to 'Skudge'. This duo from Stockholm have taken the Techno world by storm recently with their Fresh and Infectious sound. Choosing primarily to release on Vinyl via the 'Skudge' label, they have a clear Underground focus; which has lead them to remain Unkown as artists & has earnt them a large following amongst music heads. Tipped as Breakthrough artists of 2010, their music has had early support from the likes of Loco Dice & Dinky. Tracks such as 'Convolution', 'Melodrama' and the most recent 'Mirage' have been killing dancefloors across the globe & have been featured on compilations such as 'Cocoon - Sound of the 11th Season'. The duo's live sets are Spectacular, fusing stripped back Techno with elements of Acid house. After gracing the booth recently at Berghain along side a whole raft of festivals, this will be their first live show in the UK - and they are excited as we are about playing. Our second UK Debut will be from the excellent Kabuto & Koji. We have had our eyes fixed on this pair for a long time now! The duo from Costa Rica have been producing some obscure and other worldly beats over the past 2 years. They boast a plethora of releases & remixes on labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical, Kindisch and Viva. Their close work with Audiofly has culminated in stand out tracks such as last years 'Yes Kidder I See You'. After moving recently to Berlin, they have used the club network to spread their sound throughout Europe; making them firm players in the Techno / House scene. Their DJ sets are full of atmosphere; taking clubbers on a hypnotic journey and bringing them deep into after hour territory! What better way to complement the line up then with a touch of London - our good friends Lee Hume and Antony Difrancesco from 'Lost Souls' will be bringing a bit of 'Back to back' magic to the proceedings. Also, the Residents Ryan Stylus and Dan Lively will be taking to the decks together to really get the party into full swing. You can expect deep and rolling techno/ house from these 4, who are currently gearing up for their gig together with Loco Dice & Marco Carola next weekend. We are excited to be trialing out the Rhythm Factory on the '10 year anniversary' of the club. So it's a double celebration! This really is an amazing venue which offers a dark and stripped back interior, a spacious dance floor and a powerful Turbo Sound-system. So, this will be a night of Cutting edge music and we would love to see anyone and everyone that appreciates our direction or has come down to previous events and helped make the party what it is today...
