  • ** Update: Everyone who buys a ticket will be entered into a draw to win one of 10 free digital copies of Okain's rather tasty remix of Solead - Wander that is out now on Metroline and doing well Beatport's tech house charts. ** The days are getting shorter and the nights are drawing in but we all know the best things happen after dark! On Saturday October 16th Dumb¦Found¦Sound is proud to launch its winter programme at East London’s latest party venue, Nomad, once again bringing you a leading talent from the European dance scene. From his home in Paris, Okain (Quartz Records, Tsuba) first took to the decks in 1999 and has since become a renowned DJ and producer across Europe. With releases on BPitch Control, Quartz and Tsuba he has developed a fresh sound that has seen him played out by everyone from Ellen Allien to Loco Dice to Slam. Having formed one half of Handycraft with friend Paul Ritch he has gone on to take control at clubs such as The Rex, The Social, Space and Tresor and is responsible for hosting the legendary Dimuschi parties with Paul Ritch and Thomas Muller. With more than enough peak time cuts to keep you dancing all night and a clean, funky style it’s sure to be a set primed to keep the dance floor shaking. Supporting us in the main room is Dumb¦Found¦Sound favourite and collaborator Phiorio. As a key player in both Metroline Limited and Leftroom Limited he’s a busy man so we’re happy to have him return for us once again. With a sharp control of his mixing skills he’s guaranteed to deliver another energising set in his usual up-tempo style. We also have the added bonus of presenting a second room, hosted by our friends at Noiseban. They’ll be dipping in to their eclectic collection to select the finest tracks from the world of disco, electro, hip hop, reggae, breaks and dubstep – expect to get down, expect to be surprised, expect a bloody good time! Finally, we’re extremely pleased to be presenting our night with Nomad. Sharing our view that clubbing should be enjoyed in a friendly, vibrant atmosphere at a fair price, we can’t wait to get started and enjoy the rich new sound system. Staying true to the Dumb¦Found¦Sound belief in using intimate venues, Nomad provides a perfect, carefully thought out space to create the throbbing party atmosphere for which we’re renowned. So, with Dumb¦Found¦Sound residents jan, kudaku and hub getting things started from 10pm, we look forward to giving you another night of killer sounds, pulsating beats and the most fun you can have, on a dark and stormy night. ** Solead - Wander (Okain Remix) [Metroline Limited] Big room Ibiza vibes abound on the killer Wander EP from Solead, the Parisian duo who have provided Metroline with some of the labels most outstanding releases. Title track Wander keeps the pace going, this time with more expansive vocals and some ridiculously catchy whistling which, along with the loose percussion, gives the track a light summer vibe. Okain sexes things up a bit on his remix of Wander. Underpinning the track with a bubbling, undulating bassline, he restricts the vocals to suggestive snippets and moans while letting subtle pads draw you in. Ooh baby! **
