- Down_Under is celebrating its 2nd birthday with a double whammy, throwing two extra special birthday bashes. The first, on Friday October 15th, brings down_under's second foray into the club culture of London’s East End as they present lady of this moment and the next one - Desolat’s tINI. The 2nd stage follows straight on at down_under’s spiritual home; club Silo in Belgium on Saturday October 16th leaving it on the skillful hands of the man from Mannheim, Nick Curly of Cecille Records and Kevin Griffith of Tsuba Records headlining. LONDON, GET READY AGAIN FOR tINI! Since signing to Loco Dice’s Artist Alive and Desolat labels in 2008 saw a prolific boost in tINI’s career, with gigs taking her all over Europe and the world. Known for her flailing blonde curly hair and a powerful, vivid temper that she teases through her tunes, tINI knows instinctively how to enchant the crowd behind the decks. She now holds residencies at Ushuaia in Ibiza, Fuse in London, Cocorico in Riccione and Kiesgruba in Neuss, as well as is a resident of Desolat label nights and Cocoon in Amnesia. With a love for music that began with the beat of a drum, it’s all about the deep-rolling grooves. Her music is deep, percussive, impulsive and her energy is electric. For guest list, send full names to [email protected] Down_Under’s first event in the basement of The CAMP in London in early September brought the cheeky and charming Luna City Express duo to drop their soul-moving sizzle on a crowd of old friends and fresh faces, firmly kicking their London residency off to a brilliant start. Down_Under beckons London to come inside and join them for intimate electronic escapades each month throughout Winter. The CAMP is one of the coolest new venues in Shoreditch, owned by James Priestley, the founder and resident DJ at one of the most legendary day-parties London's ever witnessed, "Secretsundaze", and comes with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a flawless Martin-Audio sound system. Over their 2 year reign, down_under have wooed Belgium natives with their innovative stance and made name as one of the best underground event productions in the country; parading an impressive selection of artists which include Matthias Tanzmann, Mathias Kaden, Martinez, Federico Molinari, Ray Okpara, Christian Burkhardt, Luna City Express and Nick Curly. Down_Under’s essence is their special European energy and their presence on London’s pulsating night-shift will bring something new and exciting to your Friday night out! Also on the bill, Down_Under residents Jitter and Dezz Terquez from Belgium, and Brazilian-Londoner Cleber Malheiro. JITTER London living Belgian twins, Davy and Ken Vandegaer, are the dj and producer duo Jitter. Past residents of the infamous Cafe d'Anvers- one of Belgiums biggest clubs- and the other half of Down_Under, their successful club night held monthly at Silo; the twosome have been steadily climbing into the London scene and lavishly laying their driving double-take on deep house and techno on the discerning East End. DEZZ TERQUEZ Dezz Terquez have steadily made their way into the heart of the Belgian electronic music scene playing at some of the biggest clubs and parties including Silo, Decadance, Café d'Anvers and Circoloco in Belgium. One half of the successful Down_Under production team; Jelte and Andreas are known for their deep, warm and rhythmical music, always grooving between the borders of contemporary house and techno. CLEBER MALHEIRO Hailing from the musically fertile land of Brazil, Cleber Malheiro brought his tribal- inspired fascination with rhythm along when he moved to London several years ago. As part of the Uberbeat team of dj’s he recently took the stage in The Love Garden at Glastonbury and toured South Africa-playing at Truth in Johannesburg, Origin in Durban and at Chevelle in Cape Town. Cleber drops an innovative approach to Deep Tech House and Techno, with lashings of percussion and South American flair. See you all on the dancefloor! love, down_under
