Luke Slater is one of the UK's longest standing techno producers and DJs, active under several pseudonyms since the late 1980s he truly is one of electronic music and techno pioneers. His long and fruitful career began in 1988 where Slater was fully immersed in the embryonic acid house scene in London. While he has maintained multiple musical personalities, different in style yet bound together by a distinct quality, it is techno which made his name. Slater's form on the electronic music scene has been nothing short of prolific and utterly majestic. From his debut single ‘Momentary Vision’ in 1989 to 4 albums as Planetary Assault Systems alias for harder-edged techno, 1997’s ‘Freek Funk’, 2001’s ‘Fear and Loathing’ mix series to setting up his label Mote-Evolver in 2006, releasing limited 12”. He is equally revered as taste maker and remix artist, Luke has released a mix for the Fabric DJ-mix series and has remixed innumerable tracks from artists like Depeche Mode and Ken Ishii. Regular appearances at legendary clubs such as Berghain of Berlin, Fabric of London and Nitsa of Barcelona and varied clubs and festivals all over the world he delivers energetic sets to sold-out crowds have copper fastened his legendary and superstar status.
