  • TURN: a new night celebrating and promoting deep, raw sounds from house to disco to techno. The first party sets out the manifesto clearly - featuring the 1st Berlin appearance and album launch party of Red Rack’em – the hotly tipped UK producer and DJ responsible for some sublime dance floor moments over the past few years. What’s more, local hero Iron Curtis will be representing Berlin, a producer with a recent string of exceptional deep and groovy releases to his name, and a DJ of real talent. Supported by the Hold Tight Radio boys Davey and Parrott, this is definitely one for those in the know. Red Rack’em Based in Nottingham, UK, producer and DJ Danny Berman aka Red Rack’em/Hot Coins is celebrating an incredible couple of years. A hectic 2009 included appearances at Gilles Petersons Worldwide Awards, Snowbombing, Matter, Glastonbury and Big Chill as well as releasing many records on several different labels including Tirk, Home Taping, Untracked and Autodiscoteque – and still finding time to produce his highly regarded Smugglers Inn radio show and podcast. 2010 has, if anything, topped that with a harder edged sound on tracks like How I Program and the launch of his own imprint Bergerac, a new outlet for Danny’s house tracks and album projects. His debut album, The Early Years, is a mixture of Deep House, Beatdown, Disco and Hip Hop and has been well received both in the shops and by his peers. This is his long overdue debut in Berlin to celebrate the launch of THE EARLY YEARS, and a great chance for Berliners to get a look at (and move their feet to) a truly talented and passionate DJ in an intimate environment. Iron Curtis Iron Curtis may need less of an introduction to those familiar with Berlin dance floors. His releases for Mirau, Morris Audio, Mule Electronic and most recently Jackoff Records have found their way into the record boxes of the aficionados, while his prowess as a DJ sees him effortlessly inject a sense of soul into his mesmerizingly deep house and techno sets. Finally, Davey and Parrot from Hold Tight Radio provide the warm up, taking their winning formula from their highly-praised radio show to Jacki’s kick- ass sound system.
