The mighty crowd manipulator NICK WARREN has an unmistakable presence on the decks, creating that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality that bursts out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody and drenching them in sound! As one half of Way Out West, Nick Warren is routinely mentioned in the higher echelons of House and Electronic music and as displayed on his numerous mind bending Global Underground releases he is known for taking the throng on a trip to places they never expected to visit!
As a special treat, NICK WARREN will be playing an “out of-this-world” 3 HOUR SET outside in the Garden OVER MIDNIGHT so you can party away 2010 and welcome 2011 under the night sky!
Joining Nick is French-born DJ, remixer and music producer extraordinaire YUKSEK! Mixing pop hooks with dance-floor devastation, post-Punk riffs with Acid loops, Disco grooves with experimental Arabesque flourishes, House beats and catchy melodies all with disarming ease, YUKSEK’s fiery live sets see him swooping fervently between his vintage keyboards and FX board, setting alight club after club as a matter of course! Consistently blurring the boundary between hyper and surrealism, YUKSEK uses his talent for twisted effects, sensorial rollercoaster rides and electrifying changes to develop any and every set into an epic expedition!
This is however NEW YEAR’S EVE, and so we can’t have the fun stopping there! Our two huge international out-of-this-world * stars* are joined by a massive local line up, playing across all 3 rooms of Chinese Laundry as well as the open air Garden, complete with astounding visuals, making it the ultimate party atmosphere to welcome the New Year!
