  • Animals Dancing and The House De Frost are very excited to present Dr. Dunks AKA Eric Duncan (Rub N’ Tug, Still Going, NYC) on the 1st of January at The Mercat Basement. With edits becoming the order of the day of late, Dr Dunks has lead the charge digging up undiscovered and forgotten gems and re-polishing them for maximum dancefloor effect, a modern day Tom Moulton his edit’s are primarily released on his own imprints “Keep it Cheap” & C.O.M.B.I. with a growing discography it’s no wonder Eric has become the go-to guy for all things disco establishing his reputation as one of the most reliable party rockers on the world circuit. Not content with just doing edit’s, Duncan also been churning out original productions & remixes as a solo artist, having just turned in a remix for the Canyons new single “my rescue” out shortly on Modular. Beginning his musical journey in LA, listening to Hip Hop in the mid 80’s, Duncan began seriously DJing in the early 90’s, around the same time he started attending DJ Harvey’s Sarcastic Disco, where he met Thomas Bullock. Duncan and Bullock soon formed Rub N’ Tug and began throwing parties in LA and NYC as well as remixing and editing The Beastie Boys, Damian Lazarus, LCD Soundystem and The Glimmers in their spare time. Their recently completed album has people frothing at the mouth awaiting release. Together with Liv Spencer(House of House), he also formed Still Going, who’s debut “Still Going Theme” was the have to have single on DFA in 2007 backed up with 2009’s camp proto disco smash “Spaghetti Circus”. Through his various solo and group projects, Duncan has compiled mixes for Fabric, Eskimo, aNYthing, Resident Advisor and Tim Sweeney’s, Beats In Space, as well as releasing tracks & remixes on Rong Music, DFA, Hands of Time and Modular amongst others.
