Mad Racket New Years Eve

  • Mad Racket is proud to ring in the New Year once again, this time with two top-notch acts from across the sea alongside local guests and Racket regulars. Chris Duckenfield needs little introduction to most Racketeers, having played six times for us since 2001, both as part of production duo Swag, and as a DJ of rare skill and unquestionable taste. His DJ sets stretch across all genres of electronic music, as well as soul, funk and disco, and are put together with energy and accuracy. Chris continues to DJ across Europe, and is constantly adding to his ridiculously large catalogue of releases, under various guises, as well as running a little distribution business on the side. Chris continues the search for new sounds and old gold and we can’t wait to see what he has in store this time around. More on Chris, plus mixes galore at www.chrisduckenfield.com Hailing from Berlin, Session Victim have been releasing a considerable amount of deepness on the world of late. The duo of Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling have had two stunning releases on UK label Delusions of Grandeur (also home to The Revenge/6th Borough Project) as well as a series of releases on their own label, Retreat, and respected imprints Hairy Claw and Morris Audio. Complementing these deep, soulful records, Session Victim present a powerful live set, which has seen them turn out clubs all across Europe, including Berlin’s Tape, Zurich’s Zukunft, Hamburg’s Ego or London’s Corbet Place. These sets see them “unleash the whole package of house, disco and soul power”. More on these guys at www.retreat-vinyl.de The Racketeers – Zootie, Ken Cloud and Simon Caldwell - will join these two super acts in the Bowl-O-Sonic Ballroom. The Locker Lounge will be open for the wonky business, featuring Jimmi James, Prize (Space Is The Place), Adam McConnell (Late Night Shuffle) & Sinclair.
