  • Circular Sound Recordings (CSR) is the brainchild of Grammy nominated Producer, Engineer and Artist Barry Jamieson. Barry has gained notoriety for producing some of the finest electronic music over the last 2 decades. He was the founder of the infamous Fluid Recordings and Viscous discs back in the 90's, releasing some of the biggest tunes of the time by artists such as Sean Cusick, Jimmy Van M and Evolution. Having worked alongside some of the artists that have shaped today’s ever advancing music scene Barry has finally stepped out from behind the mixing desk and launch the new Circular Sound Recordings imprint that is focused on depth and quality. Featuring genre spanning releases from Barry Jamieson as well as many more producers of the same calibre, CSR is set to take electronic music forward with reputation and experience. - Barry Jamieson is an accomplished producer and talented engineer. His career has spanned the better part of two decades and includes Top 40 Hits and a Grammy nomination. Using the moniker Evolution, Barry and his partner (Jon Sutton), began producing a new sound just as dance music was getting off the ground at Shelley’s and the Hacienda in the UK. Signed to the label Deconstruction, Evolution had two Top 40 Singles in the UK pop charts. Barry eventually co-founded the record labels Fluid and Viscous as a platform for innovative production, working with artists John Digweed, Andy Ling and Jimmy van M, Sean Cusick, Sasha, and many more. Barry made the move to the states in 2004. Based in New York, he rekindled a working relationship with Sasha and produced the albums Involver and Fundacion, both of which entered the iTunes dance chart at 1. A prolific artist and collaborator, in the past 2 years he has remixed singles by Britney Spears, New Order and Madonna with studio partner Bill Hamel. The two earned a Grammy nomination for their incredible remix of Seal’s single “Get together”. Barry has also collaborated with Sasha on remix for Depeche Mode, UNKLE, Spooky, Faithless, Grand National, Petter, Ulrich Shnauss, and many more. A desire to score music for film and television has motivated Barry to expand his production credits. In 2005 he wrote music for FilmFour’s nationally distributed television advertisement for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Barry and Sasha produced feature music for the CBS drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. They became the first featured artists to score an entire episode with their work on the CSI show titled “4 x 4”. Alongside Sasha, Barry has also co-written music for CSI Miami and CIS NY. A well-rounded artist, engineer and musician Barry Jamieson divides his time between New York and London. He is member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in the USA and the Performing Rights Society in the UK http://www.barryjamiesonmusic.com/ - Sean Cusick's definitive blend of sexy house and techno has firmly established him as a globally recognized dj and producer. His unique range of music has put him more and more in demand, placing him in the honored spot behind the decks with dj's such as Sasha, John Digweed, Josh Wink, Terry Francis, Nick Warren and Global Communications to name but a few. Sean became famous for his regularly monthly residencies in the illustrious Twilo. Performing each month with Sasha and John Digweed as well as his bi-monthly residency there with Anthony Pappa., but his career as a dj has spanned a decade. 1997 saw him securing a residency at Firestone in Orlando, Florida. Since then he has broadened his itinerary to include gigs across America and beyond, encompassing such places as Greece, Prague, and South America. His production work has been just as prolific. Along with Jimmy Van M, he formed 'Freelance Icebreakers', whose latest remixes can be found on Flying Rhino and Bedrock. their remix of Bedrock's ‘Voices’ was featured on Sasha and Digweed's massive selling mix compilation, ‘Communicate’. He has also produced tracks with house veterans Sam Mollison (‘Dreams’), Mick Parks (‘Eight Mile Sound’), and Gaetan Schurer (‘Unbound’). His most recent pairing with Three from Hallucination records resulted in their first single ‘Multiple Mirrors e.p.’, which has received critical acclaim and constant play from such djs as Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Lee Burridge, and Doc Martin. it can be found on the new Tyrant compilation as well as Doc Martin's most recent mix compilation. Sean also began a solo project called the 'Sean Q6 thing', focusing on house/techno and down-tempo funk. Whether compiling a radio mix for Digweed's weekly Kiss FM show, or layering intoxicating beats for a crowd, Sean Cusick is one to watch. - In 1996, Steven LeTigre moved to Florida where he stumbled onto the house scene that was in full swing due to the likes of Sasha and John Digweed. He then returned to New York two years later and began his DJ career. Influenced and inspired by his friends Larry Banks, Dave Cannalte, Luis Diaz, and Lee Burridge, LeTigre procured a style of his own, one that he considers to be "a sexy and techy vibe, with a certain groove that pulls you in." As a native of Zimbabwe, LeTigre’s style of house music was influenced at an early age by strong beats and deeply embedded rhythms. This influence, accompanied by many years growing up in New Jersey, moments away from New York City’s house music scene, is what’s made LeTigre’s style its own. LeTigre’s originality, determination, and unwavering dedication to create new sounds, has garnered him high respect amongst his fellow DJ’s and devoted fan base. As DJ and roommate Gaby Dershin – (AstroGlyde), once put it, “when you listen to LeTigre spin you get a sense of who he is…if you didn’t know him before, you will when he’s done.” It’s these rave reviews that allow LeTigre to play and continue pursuing house music as an ass shaking art form. As quoted by one of DJ Magazine’s top music editor’s, “LeTigre not only puts everything he is into his music, but everything he’s ever wanted, and everything he wants to be…I can’t wait to see what the next few years will bring for him.” During the course of 2003 and into 2005, LeTigre has maintained successful weekly residencies at some of New York’s most respectable parties. He has helped create that distinct vibe at the legendary Le Souk, as well as opening up for Sandra Collins. He has also thrown down at some of Miami’s most notable Winter Music Conference parties. Throughout his young career LeTigre has played along side some of the world’s most prominent DJs like; DJ Three, Terry Francis, Steve Lawler, Sean Cusik, Adam Collins, Lee Burridge, Steve Porter, Luis Diaz, Pete Bones and many others. On an international level, LeTigre has become a staple in the South American house music diet, while continuously playing venues all over North America. Currently, LeTigre is working with some of Great Britain’s and Canada’s top club promoters in order to establish permanent bi-monthly and quarterly residencies. In addition to his many accomplishments, 2004-2005 brought about the launch of LeTigre’s own record label, Subtropical records, with partner Vincent Casanova. Gaining rave reviews for the release of his two most popular productions, "Tacit Consent" and "Much Too Sexy" which was charted at #14 on the Balance May 2006 chart. Letigre is currently working on his 6th CD and putting together a North American tour. Letigre recently has become a fixture at the burgeoning BPM Festival held in Playa del Carmen, MX. Thanks in large part to his friend Betty Kang of Plexi PR, Letigre has played an increasingly important role at BPM, since it's inception in early 2008. 2010 at BPM was no exception, playing alongside the likes of Anthony Collins, Shonky, Stacy Pullen, Audiofly, Nitin, and Lee Burrige@The Villa Hermosa. Letigre has high hopes for 2010 after joining Autobrennt, establishing residencies with Resolute and Eklipze and considering the simple fact that it just happens to be the Year of the Tigre...
