Murmur presents Nofitstate - Album Launch featuring Fcl, Geddes, Tom Demac

  • *PLEASE NOTE - ALL CDS BOUGHT WITH TICKETS WILL BE SENT OUT ON WEEK OF RELEASE (14TH MARCH)* 2010 marked quite a year for nofitstate. Having initially been born from the success of murmur’s 3 year run of releasing some incredible music on vinyl, the parties have now become a success story of their own. To celebrate this, murmur has announced a special nofitstate limited CD compilation which has been skillfully and artistically steered by murmur / nofitstate founder Geddes. nofitstate’s own release on murmur…this is going to make for quite an album launch party. This last year FCL have become something of a big deal. The collaborative duo are San Soda, a young and talented producer who has racked up one big release after another since his debut in 2008 and Red D a seasoned veteran playing house music in its broadest sense all over Belgium and beyond since the early 90s. Young San Soda hit his stride in 2009 via his releases for We Play House Recordings, the boutique label started by Red D in 2008 initially to release the producer's work. Since then it has also seen the release of music by Reggie Dokes, Russ Gabriel and Raoul Lambert amongst others. Taking their cooperation a step further, Vocals for Everyone marked the duo's first collaborative release under the FCL moniker, however it was this year when the guy's really made headlines with the track Let's Go, which has since achieved position 12 in Juno’s Top 50 tracks of 2010. For those of you curious as to what FCL stands for, its FC Leiejongens, the local football team with San Soda as right-winger and Red D as goalkeeper. Proud creator of both the murmur and nofitstate family’s Geddes, will also be taking to the decks on the night. Geddes has certainly proven that his forte of carefully hand-picked line-ups along with his acute attention to detail have all the workings to producing a string of thriving parties that have quickly established themselves as one of London’s most talked about events. The compilation itself sees Geddes revealing an intriguing musical vision, along with the exceptional musical offerings of his label talents. Tom Demac finally gave up the day job over a year ago to commit himself completely to electronic music. Having studied music technology at Salford University, he now spends most of his time in his studio in Manchester. This year, Tom bagged his mulletover debut where he was so warmly received by murmur’s extended family. Tom’s work is the real focus of the 2nd CD nofitstate 12” including his track 'Slip Slop Slap', which has been stirring the right kind of reaction on the dance-floor as well as being included in Resident Advisors top 30. 2011 is already shaping up to be a good year for Tom with more releases lined up with the No Fit State compilation as well as other releases with murmur, Liebe Detail, Hypercolour, the launch of the new techno project - 'Dense' with good friend Glimpse. As a special thank-you to all those who have supported both murmur and nofitstate in the past, there's the opportunity to purchase the CD with a ticket priced £15.
