  • Hauschka (DE) Volker Bertelmann is considered to be the neo-impresario of the prepared piano. His compositions, influenced by Steve Reich and Michael Nyman, are seminal miniature-worlds that fathom the interim space between poetry and rhythmic onomatopoeia. Whilst his 2010 album Foreign Landscapes payed a tribute to the world of the salon-orchestra , Hauschka ´s new longplayer which includes guest musicians from the bands Calexico and Mum, is a minimal pop hybrid that has one eye on the dance floor . To be released on Fat Cat in May 2011, Hildur Gudnadottir (IS) The Icelandic cello player Hildur Gudnadottir who is a member of the internationally renowned band Mum, has also written chorus arrangements for Throbbing Gristle and Wildbirds & Peacedrums Under the moniker Angel she is working with Schneider TM and Ilpo Väisänen trying to expand the definition of the term “drone”. Her solo program links baroque elements with a contemporary timbre to create a poignant numinosum. > myspace.com/hildurness
