Europe’s biggest and baddest Bass Music and Soundsystem Culture festival Outlook is back for an amazing fourth year and is proud to announce it’s biggest and most forward thinking line up to date!
Set against a backdrop of the stunning region of Istria, Croatia in a breathtaking abandoned fort, the Outlook site looks like something from a lost world. Boasting one of the most unique festival sites in Europe and located on a peninsular surrounded by crystal clear ocean views, Outlook combines sun soaked beach parties by day and all night raving up at the fort when the sun
sets! The legendary Outlook boat parties will also be setting sail with some of the most exciting artists and brands from bass and soundsystem culture!
Showcasing everything from original Dub Reggae pioneers to the new school masters of electronic music the line up is already starting to take shape and with hundreds more acts yet to be revealed, the 2011 line looks set to be the biggest to date!
Amongst those already confirmed are the likes of DMZ legend Mala, Eglo boy Alexander Nut, deep Dubstep rising star Untold, Hyperdub favourite Ikonika
and new kids on the block Girl Unit. And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, Outlook is proud to welcome some very exciting new additions to it’s already bulging bill!
First up is Dub legend Barrington Levy who will be bringing is own blend of Reggae and Dance hall (and his LA based band Detour Posse) to Croatian shores for an exclusive European festival performance like no other!
Joining him will be Dubstep heavyweight and one third of Magnetic Man, the unmissable Benga. World famous for leaving dance floors broken in his wake, this Corydon boy can do no wrong. Expect growling bass lines and
devastating drums as one of Dubstep’s finest gives it some serious welly!
Also on the bill for 2011 will be another one of the biggest names in Dubstep (and on everyone’s lips); Skream. Making up another third of supergroup
Magnetic Man, this boy has wowed 2010 festival crowds the world over and we are excited to welcome him to the 2011 bill.
Next up is Reggae veteran, David Rodigan. With over 30 years experience under his belt he’s old enough to be your Grandad and still remains one the coolest guys in the world! Having won more sound clashes than most of us
have had hot dinners, he will be bringing his vast knowledge of Reggae and Dancehall to the Outlook table. We can’t wait!
Also new to the bill is Dubstep visionary and founder of Hyperdub records Kode9 who will be joined by trusted collaborator MC Space ape. Joining him
will be Radio 1s finest and Deviation creator Benji B. Drawing from a huge range of styles, brace yourselves as Benji B treats Outlookers to one of his sickeningly good sets showcasing everything from Hip Hop to House and
back again!
Also confirmed is man of the moment, Ramadanman. Deviating away from a conventional Dubstep template David Kennedy is rising higher and higher. Awash with potent bass frequencies and drifting synths his sound is as unique as Outlook itself and we are proud to have him on the 2011 bill.
Also hitting the fort this year will be Hot Flush heavyweight Scuba, Holland’s finest Martyn and the prince of UK Funky Roska. Warp darling Hudson Mohawke, will also be on hand to wow Outlookers with one of his flawless DJ sets.
They will also be joined by the likes of Congo Natty & Tenor Fly, The Bug & Flowdan, Foreign Beggars, Twinkle Brothers, Iration Steppas, Gentleman’s Dub Club amongst others as Outlook gears up to deliver it’s biggest line up to date!
Outlook will also embark on a rib rattling UK and Pan European tour bringing a taste of what you can expect from this years festival to a city near you. Watch this space!
