Of all the new producers to pop out of the London underground, there's a special place in club musics collective heart for Cooly G. Not only do her dark and skittering beats sound like no one else's, but her supremely sexy vocals subtly turn up the heat while maintaining a totally cool vibe. Plain and simple, we love the girl. The playlist of a Cooly G set is heavily littered with unknown artists, white-label tracks, and songs simply known as "exclusive." Cooly G has recently signed to Hyperdub after label owner Kode 9 heard her immaculate fusion of house and dubstep on her MySpace page. This is pretty remarkable considering the page had only been online for a month. Shes the second female producer on Hyperdub alongside Ikonika and she released debut single for the label after a string of self produced cdrs. The single got people pretty excited, she was single of the week in the Guardian Newspaper, One to Watch in the Independent newspaper, got interviewed all over and was immediately snapped up for remixes by the majors as well as startng to get bookings all over the world.
