It is with pleasure that we announce something quite special for Shrug’s return in 2011. We have joined forces with the guys from Tribalism to bring you an act which we think represents the perfect fusion of both parties; in their debut Australian performance, we present.. Kruse & Nuernberg.
Combining both the deeper grooves with which Shrug is renowned, and the upbeat funk of Tribalism, Florian Kruse and Nils Nuernberg permeate these two complimentary sounds more effectively and more effortlessly than perhaps any of their peers.
Their unique talent for seamlessly blending these two genres has been widely recognised with their productions finding their way to the record bags (or USB sticks) of many of today’s biggest names in both deep and tech house.
As well as being treated to an extended set from the German maestros, we have Shrug residents Robbie Lowe & Dave Stuart, plus Tribalism’s Adam Carter & Robbie Myers on support duties.
Expect a night of irresistibly deep rhythms and relentless funk, tailor made for Sydney’s best sound system.

As a warm up for Kruse & Nuernberg we have SHRUG’s favorite up & coming DJ Duo MESAN playing at the new SPOiLT party at Settlement bar alongside resident DJs Andy Wright (UK), Brendan Clay.
Kicking off at six o’clock, Settlement Bar is located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD at 275 Kent Street – right under the Westpac building.
