Emerge>evolve with Kruse & Nuernberg

  • The emerge>evolve concept is an alliance of 3 eclectic Melbourne based groups, each with progressive and positive values to add to the Australian Underground music scene. This powerful collaboration fuses passion, knowledge, high energy and consistency - perfectly, offering Australia a movement of sustainable events celebrating and supporting the future of underground electronic music artists from all over the globe. Melbourne’s elite Match Bar will be home to emerge>evolve for 2011 – perfectly located in the CBD with a fresh, welcoming dance space, an elevated wooden decked area with the backdrop of the beautiful State Library of Victoria, fantastic drinks options and of course - one of the most important factors for emerge>evolve – the Funktion-One Sound System. Gracing us with their presence for their debut Australian tour – KRUSE & NUERNBERG test the Funktion-One sound system to its intended purpose with their catalogue of international heavyweight productions with a support line-up of Melbourne’s freshest Underground DJ/Producers – Lister Cooray + Jon Beta, Neptunes Trident, Sleepy Dino, Jelly vs Supanoiz. KRUSE & NUERNBERG Separately, Hamburg based Florian Kruse & Nils Nuernberg have created some of the most interesting deep house around in the past few years, with early highlights including Nils’ “Caught A Glimpse” on 8Bit, and Florian’s “Love Hurts” release on Om Records. Since then, as solo producers, but more importantly together as Kruse & Nuernberg they have climbed closer to the treetop with their unique brand of mouth-watering underground deep house infused with the sharp tech-house elements. As first sign of bigger things to come, Nick Warren included their massive ‘An Why E’ on his “Global Underground- Lima”, which somewhat kick-started the K&N machine, and the duo has since then grabbed the attention of some of today’s most important underground labels; NRK, Noir Music, Kolour, Je T'aime, Mood Music, Slip ’N’ Slide as well as Mazi’s Fresh Meat Records and Milton Jackson & Shur-I-Kan’s Dark Energy label, who have all invested in K&N with enough remixes and original productions. With a brand new studio in Hamburg, a long waiting list for tracks and remixes and with recent brilliant DJ-Sets, these guys have absolutely no reason to slow down and more tracks and remixes are of course forthcoming. Their single ‘Gone Daft’ on Slip N Slide, featuring a dirty filter-disco remix from legendary DJ Sneak was played by everyone from Mark Knight to Luke Solomon and Jimpster, and forthcoming remixes of Mr.V and Dennis Remixes over the past year include releases on Milton Jackson’s Dark Energy label; Simple; Mood Music; Dieb Audio; Slip N Slide and MN2S sub label 1-trax and of course their own Save Room Recordings, all subject to the same rigorous quality control and high musical standards. July 2010 saw the release of the brilliant Kruse & Nuernberg collaboration with DJ Stel, under the name Wiretappeur. “My Real Name Is” was released on John Digweed’s Bedrock label, yet another jewel in the crown for these two proud Hamburgers, and followed shortly after their amazing remix of festival favourites Groove Armadas ‘Paper Romance’ on Om Records. The duo has embraced the deep house scene to the max and has in return been embraced back by the whole deep house community. Releases on labels like NRK, Fred Everything’s Lazy Days (‘Sliced & Chopped EP’), Noir Music and Kolour Recordings, have all contributed to the duo’s success and popularity.
