*UPDATE* : Unfortunately we have had to cancel our event on April 21st. The venue is superb but needs to be heavily sound proofed as there are residents nearby. We knew we had to invest in sound proofing but the scale and cost of the job has escalated to a level that would make the event unviable. We hope a month’s notice is enough time for people to change their plans. Following our series of sold out 2020VISION London shows at Village Underground we return to Shoreditch for a one-off Easter Secret Warehouse special in a never been used before venue which is simply second to none. This will be the only event which takes place in this breathtaking East London three-arena warehouse space before it redevelops into a £6million pound state of the art hotel.
With sixteen years in the game RALPH LAWSON's label 2020Vision has gone from strength to strength. As one of the UK’s most respected deep house players with a successful live band 2020SOUNDSYSTEM and high profile record label to boot, Ralph will be inviting special guests to collaborate their talents for this one-off Easter bank holiday spectacular.
Rather than resting on our laurels we’ve decided to once again provide a line-up fitting for the occasion. Not only have we invited our good friends REDUX to provide the disco grooves in the bar area, but we also welcome DIYNAMIC Records on there 5 year world tour. In addition we’re honoured to give centre stage to Detroit Techno legend STACEY PULLEN who fittingly remixed the 2020Vision 15th Year Anniversary compilation mix album and flies over from America to headline for us.
As always we like to provide you with some of our the best championed artists the world over. Diynamic head honcho SOLOMUN brings his 5 year Diynamic World Tour to London, bringing fellow Germans Martin STIMMING who will perform Live, and the hugely talented 20 year old newcomer and 2011 one-to-watch, DAVID AUGUST, who's Instant Harmony EP was one of the records of last summer.
2020Vision new signings FCL (aka Belgian duo San Soda & Red D) and Greek producer AND.ID LIVE will show why their recent tracks are being championed the world over, and label mainstay Danny Dubble D Ward aka MOODYMANC once again brings his jazzy percussion influenced grooves to 2020's centre stage. 2020 Label boss RALPH LAWSON who is perhaps best known for his 19 year residency at Leeds clubbing institution Backtobasics where he holds the honour of playing the first ever record at the club adds considerable weight to what is already a hugely formidable lineup.
Crazy P's RON BASEJAM heads up the Redux disco Arena, alongside BacktoBasics and 2020Vision residents Tristan da Cunha, Andy Whittaker and Danny Raper.
Expect Funktion1 sound throughout, classy visuals and production and a typically well run 2020Vision showcase event which you have been accustomed to over the years.
