Krankbrother presents Saved - Nic Fanciulli & Italoboyz

  • After one crazy rumble in the jungle, krankbrother returns on April 16th with a very special DJ line-up in a very special venue. For this party, we're teaming up with the unstoppable Nic Fanciulli and his label, Saved records. After bringing his label parties all over South America and Europe, Nic will be bringing his infamous Saved party to London - alongside the Italoboyz (Get Physical Music), to bring you a night of stellar house and techno. They'll be supported by residents the krankbrothers. As if that line-up wasn't enough, it'll all be happening in a beautiful and very rarely used 400 capacity railway tunnel in Farringdon, complete with a full Funktion One sound rig. It's a rare thing to see names like Nic Fanciulli and the Italoboyz playing in an intimate underground party space, so you'd be advised to snap up your tickets here on RA pronto... Nic Fanciulli: From being a shy, talented DJ plying his trade as resident at his local club, to becoming a global superstar, the rise and rise of Nic Fanciulli has been well documented. Nic now boasts a portfolio of residencies across the globe that is testament to both his talent and versatility. Nic is quarterly resident at Space in Miami, Space on Sunday in Ibiza, and his touring schedule reads like a who's who of the best clubs in the world - he has graced the decks many times at Berghain Berlin, Cocoon Frankfurt, Fabric London and pretty much anywhere else you can think of. Nic’s own Saved Records has become an important purveyor of international, underground house and techno. Having helped develop the imprint into a recognisable label since 2005, Nic and his clutch of impressive Saved artists have travelled the globe with the brand, spreading their musical manifesto far and wide. Always with a keen eye on bringing new talent through, Nic has used Saved as a platform to break new and exciting young producers as well as maintaining a desire to put out quality releases from other stalwarts of the scene. Widely regarded as one of the leading cutting edge labels in dance music, Saved has gone on to release compositions from both established producers such as Zoo Brazil, Paolo Mojo and Audiofly, to up and coming talent such as James Talk and Shafunkers, with remixes being delivered from the likes of Alex Smoke and Paul Woolford. At only five years old, Saved is continuing to expand the legacy of Nic Fanciulli. Nic's production and remix work alongside Andy Chatterley, under Skylark and its bastard son Buick Project, proved fundamental in pushing him through as both an artist and DJ. Essential new tune status is a regular occurrence for Nic's productions and he has been called upon to remix a plethora of acts including Loco Dice, Tiefschwarz and Deep Dish. Add this to successful releases for Renaissance and it's clear that Nic enjoys a very busy studio schedule. Working with Renaissance has now become common place for Nic after he followed the likes of John Digweed and Deep Dish, by releasing a compilation on their legendary series. The mix received huge props from journalists and clubbers alike, was backed by a thirty date world tour and sold thousands worldwide. We're as excited as you are to watch a global star like Nic headline an intimate, underground arch party in London. Italoboyz: The Italoboyz (Get Physical, Mothership) have become an essential fixture of London's house/techno/minimal scene. From their notorious back-to-back DJ sets at FESH (333, London), their reputation has grown to the point where they can now be found playing across the globe. It's not just the energy and flair of their DJ sets that has captured the imagination - Italoboyz now release on some of today’s most influential minimal-house / techno labels like Mothership and Get Physical, after initially releasing on labels like Treibstoff, Einmaleins Musik, Gumption and Safari Electronique. Since forming Italoboyz in 2002, they haven’t stopped moving forward, obsessively exploring the hybrid sounds of house and techno through their love of minimalism, acid-house and hi-tech funk. Although their sound has always been characterized by organic elements along with large doses of funk and energy, the distinctive flavor of their productions and DJ sets is down to a willingness to embrace and explore the various genres and sub-genres that develop out of this constantly evolving music. One of the reasons Italoboyz productions are so well received is the fact that their musical expression is a fusion of sounds, themes and ideas resulting from over 15 years of music research and DJing experience. Their aim is to deliver the most modern, cutting edge sound possible but it should still resonate through time, both past and future, in order to make the immediate experience all the more seductive. They're gonna be playing some sexy techno at krankbrother people - don't miss out.
