We’re very excited to announce that all round house hero Jesse Rose will be flying in to Plan B for his first UK show of 2011. The Made To Play boss has played a huge part in the development of house music over the past five years. He heads up two influential labels Front Room Recordings and Made To Play, which have brought through some distinct trends in 4/4 music like the infamous 'fidget house' movement alongside collaborator Switch. Having always been at the cutting edge of the scene, his residencies read like a where’s where of house music from London to Berlin and recently state-side to LA. Black Rose, Jesse’s collaboration with the inimitable Henrik Schwarz toured the European festivals in 2010 with appearances at Melt!, Exit and Sonar to name a few. As a soloist, the multi-award winning DJ is at home in the most respected clubs around the world from Fabric and Space to his Made To Play residency at Berlin’s seminal Panorama Bar. His eclectic style takes in bouncy electro, big vocal hooks and pumping house music, so we can't wait for him to take our Funktion 1 soundsystem through it's paces!
Jesse is regarded as one of the best producers out there. Working with many of the major game players, including a relationship with dance indie titans Hot Chip, he’s got his mitts on the likes of Armand Van Helden, SMD and Underworld on labels as diverse as Get Physical, Mobilee, Sony and Southern Fried. Surprise breakthrough hit ‘Touch My Horn’ propelled him onto the world stage last year as part of his debut LP ‘What Do You Do If You Don’t’, which received critical acclaim across the board.
Much hyped duo Hot City support, blending elements of US garage, 2-step, house and classic rave to make future sounding party music. Check out 'Another Girl' on Moshi Moshi records to get a taste of their up-front mash-up style. Things are looking good for Raf Daddy, part of the notorious Greco-Roman crew. His more recent collaborations with Joe Goddard of Hot Chip under the 2 Bears moniker including his vocal performance on 'Church' have garnered some well-earned praise.
