Lovebox, London’s most intriguing and authentic music festival, will stage a three day takeover of the East End’s hottest creative space, a cultural hybrid of creative endeavour and artistic collaboration, Village Underground, incorporating live music and club events across the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend - 21st, 22nd and 23rd April.
Proceedings will kick off on Easter Thursday 21st with a bass-heavy club night from Lovebox’s boisterous younger sibling and July’s Festival Friday curators Bang the Box, who are teaming up with WARP Records for an exclusive collaboration. Warp is the renowned home to a long list of iconic producers and pivotal acts such as Autechre, Aphex Twin, Jamie Lidell through to Flying Lotus, Bibio, Battles and many more. Continuing in Bang The Box’s tradition of supporting breaking acts alongside some of the world’s most forward thinking record labels and innovative crews, WARP’s featured acts for Easter Thursdays club event includes Hudson Mohawke, influenced by 90s UK dance music and golden era hip hop, and Rustie who is set to deliver a bright and brilliant sensory shock, both of whom are planning new Warp releases this year. In addition to these fresh newcomers, hotly-tipped young producer/songwriter Kwes and special guest, Radio 1 hip hop, dubstep and broken beats master Benji B are set to bring underground to the Underground.
