SLOWPOKE is off to the sunshine state!
That's right East Coast crew, we're coming to see you at The Electric Picklein Miami.....and we're bringing with us LA based collaborative, DROOG and Death On The Balcony along with Slowpoke residents Brian Monaco and Jaime Ritchie.
Slowpoke has fast become the London party not to be missed...founded by the people behind London's dearly loved and much missed T Bar, infamous and debauched Sunday sessions Machine and the unique and much revered Kitchen Party. Since kicking off in November 2010, Slowpoke has invaded East End warehouses on a monthly basis with its slowed down, low down journey in house, funk and techno playing to a growing crowd of London's most discerning night owls. Past guests have included Three, Trickski, Maceo Plex, Mark E, Wbeeza and Jozif. Forthcoming guests include Guillaume & Coutu Dumont, Bodycode, Bill Patrick and Soul Clap.
It is all about the slow build to an epic end. We aren't in any hurry for the night to finish and our sound reflects that. As the hours drift by our bounce gets a little lower, our grind a little deeper, our smile a little wider and the rest of us a whole heap sweatier. It's like having a love-in with Staypuft Boy, Mr Snuffleupagus and a lot of hot girls (wearing those oversized vests with slits down the side so that when they put their arms in the air you can see just a touch of neon pink mesh bra)......and who wouldn't want that?
