Mad Racket is proud to present the first ever Sydney show of up-and-comer Red Rack’em aka Danny Berman. Originally based in Nottingham, Danny has recently upped pegs and moved to the centre of the electronic music universe, Berlin, after a solid six years of production and DJing. Originally gaining a reputation for his Smuggler’s Inn edit series, Danny began to concentrate on his own productions, and was signed to Tirk Recordings as Hot Coins. He recently released his debut album The Early Years on his own label Bergerac. His rather unique mix of downbeat house, glitchy hip hop, wonky disco and deep Detroit has earned him many illustrious fans, including Gilles Peterson, Chris Duckenfield, Carl Craig, Idjut Boys, Todd Terje and Prins Thomas. The diversity in his production output is reflected in his DJ sets, which tend to defy genre tags while still being about the dancing.
