Tank Nightclub - So long, farewell, thanks for the memories !
Having received confirmation this week that Sydney clubbing institution TANK will close it’s doors as a nightclub at the end of April 2011, it’s with mixed emotions that we proudly announce the very last Long Weekend Sunday Special Event at Tank Nightclub on Easter Sunday 25th April.
While the amazing space at Tank will be redeveloped as the site of an exciting new food & drink venture for Merivale (look out for an official announcement in due course), what is clear is that it’s days as one of Sydney’s best loved nightclubs have come to a graceful end – so come & join us on Sunday April 25th (Easter Long Weekend) for one last super-sized shindig to see one of Sydney’s best loved nightclubs off in style!
With Tank enjoying a worldwide reputation as a house music mecca over the last 10 years (including it’s 2005 Top 10 placing in the ‘World’s Best Clubs’ category at London’s World House Music Awards), what better way to sign off the end of an era than with this huge long weekend party featuring one of the major house brands on the international scene – Housexy, headlined one of the most exciting & crowd-pleasing DJ’s on the international circuit – Space Ibiza resident JONOTHAN ULYSSES.
This extra special party will showcase Tank Nightclub as an unrivalled clubbing space, & demonstrate why the venue has regularly played host to the biggest international DJ’s & brands down the years – including Angello & Ingrosso, Frankie Knuckles, Bob Sinclar, Steve Lawler, Calvin Harris, Layo & Bushwacka, John Digweed, ‘Little’ Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Defected in The House, Renaissance, Toolroom & countless more).
For this last Long Weekend Sunday farewell, the superb Tank soundsystem will be in full effect, along with stunning visuals designed especially for this historic occasion, full club décor & dancers.
