This time we invite you to a clubnight with 3 very likable DJs. One´s from Zurich: DJ Evangelos. Famous for his hypnotic stylish sets of exciting house music. The other one´s from Vienna and you should have heard of him by now: DJ Motorpitch. He´s been a regular guest on Functionist and Bewares radioshow and a busy producer for many international lab...els such as Man Recordings. Together with the host of the night, DJ Functionist, this will be a night of unlimited musical styles and the Swoon effect.

In den letzten Jahren ist Evangelos für die Schweizer Dance-Szene unentbehrlich geworden. Unter anderem durch seine Produktionen welcher er humorvollen-bis losen Aliases benutzt hat, mit seinen unzähligen Parties hat er einen eigenen Stempel durchs veranstalten oder beschallen aufgedrückt. Mit Acts wie 2 Many DJs, The Twelves, Todd Terje, Carl Craig oder Jusrtice um nur einige zu nennen hat der Zürcher bereits die Klingen gekreuzt. Trotz seines jugendlichen Alters hat sich Evangelos der alten Disco-Mix-Tradition verschrieben: Auf Posen, Tricks und schnelle Mixes wird verzichtet, Wert gelegt wird schlicht auf Trackauswahl und die Dramaturgie eines DJ-Sets. Dies bringt die Ästhetik eines alten analogen Mix-Tapes zurück in die Indie-Kneipen, Warehouses für eine Soundwelt ohne Netz und doppelten Boden!
Motorpitch is a combination of a dj, a producer, and an engineer - so he knows what makes you dance, how to go about it making it and how to make it sound great. From his afro meets bassline version of indie supergroup Mongrel's "Hit from the Morning Sun" to the most recent remixes for Yolanda Be Cool, Fagget Fairys, Schlachthofbronx, Daniel Haaksman, Wildlife!, Tonka and Spoek Mathambo, Motorpitch always delivers the goods that keep his tunes securely in the playlists of club and radio djs all over the world.
Apart from constantly working on original material and remixes, Motorpitch is keeping himself busy with djing in clubs across Europe and doing mixes for various acclaimed radio stations such as Radio FM4 and Ministry of Sound.
DJ Functionist
Functionist is a club and radio DJ, music producer and remixer. He is the mastermind behind the legendary daily (Mon - Fri) mixshow FM4 Unlimited. His music productions include work with Aceyalone, The Visionaries or Public Enemy.
The Functionist musical universe is defined by Funk. Funk in all modern variations. Originally coming from Hip Hop he plays Electro, Breaks, Soul, Dub, even Jazz and Rock, everything mixed with a Hip Hop approach. His claim is to create a unique, live musical mixture. Clubs in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and beyond (UK, US, Canada) have welcomed Functionist's DJ services. He started as a teenager DJing for the BMX/Skateboardscene, then performed with his Hip Hop band Compact Phunktion and with the birth of a young Austrian Hip Hop scene he made first contact with radio in 1992.
