To celebrate Resident Advisor's 10th anniversary, we've cooked up something rather epic: a series of ten parties in ten cities around the world, each with a secret headliner.
We take it the ten parties in ten cities thing is pretty easy to understand, so here's the deal with the secret headliners: each event will feature one carefully selected artist who we think has positively influenced the electronic music landscape over the past decade. Their identities will remain strictly under wraps until they take the stage. Up to that point, each one will be known simply as the X (see what we did there?).
Each X has curated their party with RA, so the rest of the lineup could provide a hint as to who's waiting in the wings.
The second event will take place at BeCool in Barcelona, and looks to be an especially warm and groovy affair. Modern disco will come from Mark E (Merc / Running Back) and Norway's Prins Thomas (Full Pupp), while Soul Clap (Air Drop, Wolf + Lamb, Double Standard) showcase their "slow and sexy" sound. As for the X, one would suspect an ardent lover of slo-mo disco and house, but you'll just have to wait and see.
Ten different designers have been enlisted to create limited edition hand silk-screened posters for the events, which will be sold on RA.
Barcelona's limited edition screen-printed A1 (84 x 59 cm) poster is by <a href=http://www.stoneandspear.com/>Simon Cook</a>, and is available in a run of 75 only. Shipping internationally.
