• Hooray for Reade and Matt. And Hoo Fucking Rhah for NY Institutions like the Mars Bar, the Holiday Cocktail Lounge, and Lit Lounge. In otter words, all hail the remaining Manhatan institutions of debauchery, excess and nocturnal cheap thrills. Wardance is primed for it's second monthly episode, and we're intent on returning Lit Lounge to it's early excessive reputation of the mid nineties. Wardance DJ's have been briefed on our mission. Working in tandem with the resident bartenders, in a concerted effort to provide a time warp to "old NY". Or at least make creepy folks party like it's 1999, on a Sunday night. In the mid nineties, Lit was the place where as the evening's last resort, it always seemed like a viable option. The ownership and aesthetic never changed, only lots of those aging clients turned lame and got old. For Reade, Matt, and me, Lit is still an awesome default spot. So when the opportunity to control the DJ booth there monthly arose, we chose to act. Wardance will feature all kinds of dark and sexy tunes inclusive of Vintage Dark New Wave, Industrial, Punk, and Metal. The kind of of music that awakens one's personal demons, and invites them out to play on a dance-floor. This party is free, and if anyone doesn't already know, the staff plus security of Lit get it. In tandem with the sounds, a rad place to make the most of a dwindling weekend will be provided. Come hang out and help reclaim an institution of ours on the island of Manhattan. Fear not, it's not a saturday night, and we'll scare away all the lame people. So come chill!
