His first release came back in 1993, his first label 'Raw Elements' was started a few years later, but it was his 2nd label 'Poker Flat', launched in 1999 that has made Steve into the artist he is today. The label pioneered modern minimal and deep house, and still runs as strong today as ever, with artists such as Jamie Jones, Trentemoller and Burnski cutting their teeth on the imprint. As musical partners to the Poker Flat sound Steve set up 'Dessous' and 'Audiomatique', two other outlets for him to present his love for 4/4 music. Whilst setting trends within the house and techno scenes Steve has stlll managed to tour the world extensively, and produce countless productions, remixes and studio sessions with some of the worlds key producers, all displaying Steve's trademark sound & natural flare for electronic music. __2020VISION NIGHT__ 8pm-6am @ Village Underground http://www.residentadvisor.net/2020may EWAN PEARSON’s dayjob is a remixer: he's rerubbed everyone including Royksopp, Goldfrapp, Moby, The Chemical Brothers. Freeform Five, Depeche Mode, The Rapture and Alter Ego, and these days he makes his home in Berlin. He plays the very best clubs the world over, and his recent b2b sets with Andrew Weatherall have already been dubbed the 'DJ sets of the year'. His most recent release on Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss, Shaun Reeves & Ryan Crosson's 'Visionquest' label has been top of the Beatport electro/house charts for 5 weeks and counting... 2010 was certainly the year that 23 year old MAYA JANE COLES announced herself as one of the most talented up and coming artists in electronic music. As well as her trademark bass heavy approach Maya’s diversity as a producer also shines through in productions under her own name as well. 2011 has seen her reach the summit of no-less than 3 separate genres of Beatport’s top 100 tracks, her stunning ‘Humming Bird’ EP on Hypercolour in particular showcases her blissful vocals and ability to create songs and not just music for the dance floor. Her incredible debut EP on 2020Vision is released on May 15th and is currently taking the electronic circuit by storm. A bright talent with more than a couple of strings to her bow Maya Jane Coles is only just getting started. Having played an influential part in the house and techno scene for the better part of the last decade, SIMON BAKER has made a name for himself as one of the UK’s most respected producers, and now present’s his highly anticipated debut album “Traces” on 2020Vision (out now!) Acclaimed singles released through pioneering labels such as Playhouse, Get Physical, Cocoon and of course 2020Vision, and constantly traveling the globe playing at the best clubs in the world have continually honed Simon’s sound to the classic sounding, richly produced electronic house music that makes up his debut album. RALPH LAWSON has played a pioneering role in electronic underground dance music for the past two decades. Lawson is widely regarded as being one the very best House DJs in the world. He currently holds residencies at Back To Basics Leeds, We Love Space Ibiza and Barcelona’s The Loft as well as regular appearances at Berlin’s Watergate and London’s Fabric. Bill Brewster (“Last Night a DJ Saved My Life”) described Ralph as undoubtedly one of “the UK’s best-kept secrets”. He was recently nominated for ‘Best British DJ” along with 2020 Vision for ‘Best label’ by DJ magazine and has won five major awards for during his residency at Back To Basics since it’s inception in 1991. He is a founder member of the highly acclaimed band 2020Soundsystem as well as running 2020Vision Recordings and hosting a weekly 2020mix on Ibiza Sonica radio. After being originally brought into the Ghostly/Spectral fold for his excellent remix of Matthew Dear's "Little People," the UK-based producer MARK E is set to release his 1st proper artist album via Spectral Sound on May 16. Although his forthcoming LP, Stone Breaker, will be the producer's 1st full-length to date, he's been crafting his brand of deliberate, infectious house music for years now with a host of releases to boot for the likes of Running Back, Jiscomusic, Endless Flight, and his own Merc imprint.
