Summer is well and truly here and UP^^ is in the mood to celebrate with the UP^^ Summer Sizzler. Following on from the success of the UP^^ Spring Ball featuring the Soul Avengerz, Robert Owens, Ministry of Sound resident Marc Hughes and Coburn, we will once again be taking over Turnmills with our infectious brand of fiercely funky house across four rooms of music. This one is going to be hot, hot, hot!
We’ll also be welcoming back two of our favourite guests as StoneBridge and Herd & Fitz headline the main room. Stockholm-based DJ and producer StoneBridge put Sweden on the dance music map long before the current Swedish House Mafia came along; he’s also the man behind floor-filling house anthems like ‘Put ‘Em High’ and ‘Take Me Away’, both Top 10 UK hits, and his current smash ‘SOS’ featuring vocals by Erire.
Herd & Fitz, meanwhile, are the guys behind the chart-topping ‘I Just Can’t Get Enough’ as well as mixing the Ibiza-drenched ‘Subliminal Sunsets’ compilation for Erick Morillo’s label. You can expect to hear plenty of new dancefloor bombs tonight. Rounding off the night will be Ibiza legend and Dusted resident Oliver Lang to help give that special summer feeling and our ever-popular resident Ben Dela-Peña who’ll be getting the party started right.
Over in the second room we’ll be going a little deeper and tougher as Six Degrees presents Twisted Melon with special guest Slacker. Expect the very best in progressive house and a proper party atmosphere; it’ll also be the final Six Degrees party in London before the guys head off to Canada and they’re planning to go out with a bang!
MiMo join forces with Reel House Records sister-label Reel House Tougher and take over the third space for a night of good house vibes. These guys have been putting on some great parties in London and Reading recently, and tonight we welcome them to Turnmills for the first time with residents Chris Jones and Aaron Ashley at the helm. Expect the very best in dirty, jackin’ electronic house music all night long.
Finally, Room Control Records are your hosts upstairs in Topfloor with very special guests DJ Romain from Nu Faze Records in New York and Kellilicious of Shejay fame joining resident Dave Jones and Manos from Beats De Vyne on percussion. Label head honcho Dave Jones will be celebrating his birthday tonight and as well as flying DJ Romain over from New York especially, he’ll be inviting all his friends and the whole club to help him celebrate.
