After a number of difficult days it's with great sadness that we have been forced to cancel Out to Graze 2011.
It's been a great four years since we started in a small field in Oxfordshire with the common goal of staging a grass roots event aimed at showcasing the amazing bands and DJ's we are involved with throughout the year. Over the past 8 weeks our vision for the event has been put under intensive pressure due to circumstances outside of our control and this has led us to make this difficult decision.
On Thursday we were due to meet up with the trustees of Fawsley Park to tie things up for the event. In the morning, we became aware that the local authorities were imposing restrictions that could not only impact on us as festival organisers, but would also be imposed on the landowners.
If we infringed these guidelines, not only would we potentially be liable to huge fines, but the landowners would as well. We feel that the conditions placed upon us would have compromised our vision of the event and more importantly could compromise the enjoyment of the audience who attend which is something that is of the utmost importance to us. Had we proceeded the implications of the conditions which have been imposed could jepodise the future of Out to Graze. This has left us in an untenable position with the landowners and we have been left with no choice but to cancel the festival.
We are naturally absolutely devastated - we have tried everything in our power to make OTG work this year, including being left in a position where had to move site 5 weeks before the event. We want to thank everyone that has put in so much time and effort organising the event and all those that have bought tickets.
Tickets and any passes bought are fully refundable including booking fee from point of sale, if you haven't received an email as yet, you will do very soon.
We do plan to be back in 2012 and hope you understand that moving ahead with the festival under the conditions laid out is not possible forourselves, the longevity of the event and more importantly for the owners of the land who have been so kind to accomodate us at this late notice.
