  • DAY 3: SUNDAY JULY 17 _ A selected group of 15 attendees will travel along with the performing artists to the Cascade mountain range for a day of hiking, field recording, exploring and learning. This sound walk and workshop will be conducted by Geir Jenssen (aka BIOSPHERE), whose work with field recordings spans over two decades. AUDITORY FIELD TRIP AND WORKSHOP conducted by Geir Jenssen (aka BIOSPHERE) During this field trip, a small group of participants (15 max) will spend time with the performing artists while capturing environmental recordings in the Cascade mountain range. This exercise in phonography will foster a newfound appreciation for our natural surroundings and create a platform for meaningful interaction between artists/participants while exploring a new locality. Geir Jenssen is a renowned phonographer whose capture environmental recordings on an array of exotic locations, including the Himalayas, the Arctic, and numerous others. These recordings serve as inspiration and sound sources for some of his most significant and critically acclaimed works. Participants are encourage to bring their own portable recording gear. Full day schedule, rendezvous point and workshop plan details will be communicated in advance via email to participants.
