After our sell out party with Sasha Carassi in May, we move onto the second part of our 1st Birthday celebrations and introduce to Cardiff's techno family one of the fastest rising stars of the Uk Techno scene.
Ed Mackie is a man on a mission with residencies at Colour in Sankeys, the worlds number 1 club as voted by DJ Mag, and Locked, Manchester’s longest running Techno night.
For the last 3 years Ed has played the closing set on the Residents Terrace in Creamfields and last 12 months played at Cocoon, M_Nus & Meganite Tours alongside the likes of Sven Vath, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice, Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram & Mauro Picotto to name a few. One of his biggest achievements of 2010 was playing at the Radio 1 Big Weekend party warming up for Zane Lowe followed by Annie Mac and Pete Tong!
On a production front Ed has stepped up to the mark with some great releases with support from some of the top Techno DJ’s including Pig & Dan, Christian Smith, Hertz and many more. His Life Support EP on Mad Hatter recordings smashed into number 1 on the Track It Down tribal sales chart, snowballing him to the point of being signed to a major Spanish Label with a solo EP out soon.
2011 sees the launch of Ed’s latest project Eat Your Brains, ready to set the dance scene alight with a weekender, a record label and stage at one of this years finest electronic Festivals. There is plenty to look forward to from Ed Mackie.
To support Ed we welcome back Andrew Powell from Techno Mafia records, as well as a system 909 debut for local dj Matt Griffin.
Due to the response for the last few events we will again be offering advanced tickets at just £5 plus booking fee, more on the door.
