Brooklyn warehouse party thrower LET'S PLAY HOUSE is teaming up with GLOBAL FREQUENCIES for a very special one-off boat party as part of the latter's fifth annual summertime nautical series of events.
In keeping with LPH's usual house and disco motif, the lineup features the legendary METRO AREA in the headline slow alongside Nick DeBruyn of NO REGULAR PLAY, JACQUES RENAULT, LEE DOUGLAS, SOHO808, and CHORDASHIAN.
The Queen of Hearts is a large, two-deck boat that fits approximately 500, so come prepared for a massive party with nonstop music being pumped out on both floors. It docks at Pier 40 on 353 West St. Boarding is from 2 - 3 PM and the ship's sailing until 7 PM.
Buy tickets now as there's only a very limited quantity of the $20 ones and you will not be able to purchase any at the door.
And, as the name of the fete indicates, there's a "The Love Boat" theme. Come as you would if the Queen of Spades were actually the Pacific Princess and you its Captain Stubing, his precious little girl Vicki, Doc Bricker, or whoever your favorite character was. Hats, uniforms, bow ties, ironic mustaches, whatever your heart desires. Be creative!
