Hope you can join us for our first night of fun and frolics! For a special launch night we have one hell off a line up – Head-lining is ARNAUD LE TEXIER ( Safari Electronique / Cocoon/ Melt Music ) French born artist Arnaud Le Texier started Safari Electronique in London, 2005. An artist with plenty of knowledge and substance behind him, Arnaud had been on the electronic music scene for over 10 years before commencing with Safari Electronique. Arnaud’s career dates back to 1990 when he first began managing record shops and building what is now a huge archive of knowledge, taste and musical dedication to his name. His five year residency at Paris’s Queen and memorable sets around Europe over the years that followed perfected Arnaud’s dj’ing skills, earning him his spot in the worldwide scene where he continues to this day to be a prominent dj and production figure. In 2000 at a Miami gig, Arnaud met British dj James Warren, the pair shared a vision and love of expressing deep and constructed minimal and tech sounds. The two artists decided to launch the UK based labels; Atcha Recordings, which experimented with Deep House and Trip- Hop, and Kailash Records which explored Tech-House, Break beat, Techno and Electro sounds. 5 years later, Safari Electronique was born. Arnaud decided to launch this new label because he wanted something different and where he could sign all styles of electronic music. A label a bit more experimental and personal, which concentrates on techno and minimal sounds, sensuality and dance-floor grooves has since gone on to collaborate and put out more than 40 releases from some of tech/house music’s best known and highly respected artists. Toni D (Antonio De Angelis), Cesare vs Disorder, D'Julz, Italoboyz, Cesar Merveille, Johnny D, Luciano Esse, Miss Fitz, Luca Bacchetti, Ekkohaus and Luc Ringheisen are just a handful of the artists who have produced alongside Arnaud for Safari Electronique over the last 5 years. At the beginning of 2006 Arnaud decided to live in London where he plays in different clubs or parties such as T Bar, Minimal Hospital, Secret Sundaze, Bread & Butter, Half Baked, Multi Vitamins etc … and he is a regular Dj at Fabric since 5 years. Last September he made quite of an impression when he rammed the room 2 of Fabric for Safari Electronique 5 years anniversary, along side Antonio De Angelis, D'julz, David Labeij. In 2009 Safari Numerique was born. It's the little sister of Safari Electronique. On this digital version Arnaud wants to push more upcoming talents with a sound more deep house and deep techno. Arnaud is a perfect blend of natural talent and raw flare with very distinctive music. He produced different EP's & remixes for Bass Culture, 2020 Vision, SCI + TEC, Multivitamins, Climatic Sounds, Children of Tomorrow etc... Through his focus on music quality and originality, as well as his performances on an international level, Arnaud Le Texier is becoming one of the leaders in electronic sound. Mark Chambers ( Culprit / Leftroom Records) Mark Chambers has always found sanctuary in the corners of his mind, for in the corners you will find your true nature and true creative being. His mission is to free people from the confines of the music they are Accustomed to, make them think about what they are listening to and primarily; building a jackin’ floor vibe. "I just play records that move me and let others worry about what it’s called. A good dj makes a techno fan think he heard techno that night and a house head think he heard house. In my opinion, a good dj makes everyone leave the club thinking he played a different sound." Born in Darlington England with a mixed culture (British/Saudi) and raised up in the Middle East, Mark’s unusual background seeps through his nonconformist views to music. Now based in the ever inspiring city of London he continues to tour around the world and release his music on a plethora of International labels. 2010 saw Snubb Records, Chien Kollective and Picknick Records clock Mark’s novel drive and sound with releases on all three imprints. Early 2011 and things progressed further still, his solo EP’s on Safari Numerique and Leftroom with remixes on Nice Try and NON Music cementing a triumphant start to the year. Things continue to blossom as Mark’s highly anticipated ‘Baby’ remix for John Johr on Leftroom comes to light soon alongside appearances on Berlin label Serialism as well as LA’s Culprit imprint. With a steady production flow performances are also rife; Mark’s recent fabric appearance with the Leftroom crew accompany gigs at the some of the UK’s most esteemed underground events including toi.toi, Half Baked. Whether crafting perk-y, not-quite-dance floor techno or rumbling digital house, Mark continually strives to create and play music that honours the past beyond empty tribute or cultural appropriation by infusing the digital tools of the present with a little of the magic known as human imperfection. www.myspace.com/iammarkchambers Maura (Leftroom Records-Melt-Music) Maura has had a captivating presence on the London music circuit for years. With a release on Leftroom Records under her belt, she is cementing a name for herself in London and abroad. Standing out for spinning vinyl, she plays from the heart regardless of musical trends, showcasing a carefully researched and timeless selection. Maura’s dynamic sets and signature deep sound have gained her spots in London’s hottest parties, allowing her to play at Fabric, T-Bar, The End & AKA, The Camp, in addition to countless warehouse events, sharing the decks alongside industry heavyweights such as Guti, Argy, Matthias Tanzmann, Christian Burkhardt, DJ W!ld, and Ekkohaus to name a few. Highlights for 2010 include playing in Cologne, as well as in Miami at the Winter Music Conference. Maura has stepped up her game by entering the world of production with Mark Chambers. Delving into influences of deep house and dubby tech sounds, Mark and Maura deliver warm and rich beats with a permanent nod to the old school and a forward thinking perspective to the future. Monika Ross (`Serialism-Uberbeat Records- Melt Music ) Originating from Sydney, Monika has been engulfed in the electronic music scene since 2000. Being at the forefront of underground deep and tech house she began establishing a name for herself playing at intimate clubs involved with Sydney's intricate scene. It was during this time that Monika got involved in radio and landed a slot hosting and producing `Frequency’, FBI Radio’s Friday night electronic show. Fresh on the scene both behind the decks and on the air her innovative style and approach to broadcasting proved to have an infectious effect on her listeners both on the air and in the clubs. Since residing in London in 2008, she soon established herself within London’s growing music scene. The east’s magnetic culture along with the discovery of ambitious London artists and Labels proved to be a substantial influence on her music. Monika Ross’s mixing style is marked by deep, percussive and diverse sounds with soulful bass lines and unique vocal elements. http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/monikaross http://www.monikaross.net/ [email protected] www.meltmusic.co.uk www.facebook.com/MeltMusicLondon
