New venue has been announced!!! In the spirit of warehouse parties and managed by Sydney's most notorious warehouse party organizers (DSS) Subsonic is proud to introduce to you Sydneys newest venue THE WHITE HOUSE. Away from the hussle and bussle of the usual Saturday night meat market venues and boasting one of the loudest soundsystems in Sydney, The White House is fated to be Sydney's top underground Techno/Dubstep venue... so be prepared for the begining of a new era in clubbing. This event is no NO LONGER BYO but not to worry the White House is also home to some of the cheapest drinks in town with beers starting at $4. The SS launch will now be kicking off from 9pm and has expanded to 2 rooms with even more fabulous DJs and even wider selection of electronic beats. New additions include the fabulously sexy tech/house mistress Ms Olya Slobodinyak aka DJ VOLTA as well as Sydney beat and groove masters GABRIEL CLOUSTON, ADI B and ACTUATOR
With the announcement of the International lineup for this year’s annual Subsonic Music Festival now released, the Subsonic crew outdoes themselves for their launch with dual international headliners including 2010 festival favorite BORIS BREJCHA and SIMON BAKER (UK/Cocoon, Get Physical). Throw in an assortment of quality local impresario within the raw confines of a new underground Techno venue and you have all the boxes ticked to kickstart the countdown to this year’s Subsonic Music Festival in considerable style.
Those in attendance at last year’s Subsonic Music Festival will recall Brejcha’s riproaring set following on from Extrawelt in the early hours of Sunday morning on the mainstage. And those who missed it have a second bite at the sonic cherry this time around. Baker meanwhile is renowned for such cuts as ‘Plastik’ on the esteemed Playhouse label and ‘X,Y and Z’ on the UK’s Leftroom imprint, as well as the chart-topper ‘Kaskazi’ with Jamie Jones.
Doors will open at 9pm with cheap drinks and food for the early birds accompanied by some smooth tunes from the Foreign Dub and Low Society crews. Everyone there before 11pm will be entered into the draw for free Subsonic Tickets, while there will also be some posters, T-shirts and other giveaways early on before the internationals kick-off at 11pm. (Not to worry if you win and already have tickets, you will be able to redeem them for Subsonic 2012).
